Going to Bethlahem with family for day......
never been there before, what streets are good for walking around, shopping etc. What should we see or do, also where to eat?
Just looking for some info, so I know something about where to go.
Thanks

Main Street and Broad are your two streets with shops and restaurants. When you walk down the hill on Main, you'll hit the historic houses that have been around since early 1800's. You should check out the Moravian Book Shop and there are lots of great little shops along Main. The Sun Inn is a historic inn that is also on Main where George Washington and many other presidents have stayed. If they are open for tours, I'd pop in there.
As far as restaurants are concerned, I moved out of that area 6 or 7 years ago now, but recently I've heard great things about the Granola Factory for lunch. I've also always enjoyed the Confetti Cafe. Mama Nina's is the place for Italian and if you like beer, try Bethlehem Brew Works. There are also some super amazing restaurants on Broad Street - the two most fancy are the Apollo Grill and Starfish.
If you're looking for entertainment, you could check out the new Sands casino, they have live music on the weekends and Wolfgang Puck has a restaurant there. They've apparently made it more of a nightlife destination and not just a casino. And if you have little ones, I'd make a stop at the Crayola Factory in Easton which is 10 minutes down the road.
I second the Moravian Book Shop! Confetti Cafe is a nice, quiet place. Mama Nina's is good if you like garlic in everything-good, though... so is Thai Thai (obviously a Thai restaurant...). Nice shops all along Main Street there.
You may want to check out SteelStacks-they just started concerts there (artsquest.org)-The Sands Casino is pretty okay-I was only there once-not a gambler, but a ton of food-Emeril has 2 restaurants there. If you go just outside of Bethlehem-The Promenade Shops-Saucon Valley-are some cute outdoor shops.
You can google historic Bethlehem and that will get you a ton of ideas, too. On First Friday, the Banana Factory has some interesting artists that show off their work-on the South Side of Bethlehem-other side of river from Main St/historic side.
