Now that we have a theme, need some help please.
Before I saw the Lil Rebel theme, I was going with an Under the Sea theme, and had some good ideas for snacks- goldfish crackers and swedish fish and a blue punch with floating fish ice cubes.
Now that we are starting over I'm drawing a blank. I could still do the blue punch since all the decorations are blue. I was figuring on hamburgers and hot dogs, which are really traditional for my family parties.
My sister's open house will be the day before, so we'll also be serving any leftover salads from that. I guess I'm looking for something fun or funny to play off the theme.
Help, please.
Re: Now that we have a theme, need some help please.
typically what i do for themes like that were there isnt a huge correlation between the theme and particular food is to create names for things that you plan to make anyway. for example, if you were going to make pigs in blankets... you could put out a little food tag that says "Naughty Nibblers" or something. (sorry, that was just off the top of my head...not the greatest!)
but yeah, come up with your menu first and then go from there. stick with the colors of the decorations and see if you can find K a skull and crossbones tshirt/onesie to wear. if you need help wiht a menu, let me know!
