did anyone time when you would be pg?
My DH and I were talking about having kids and are 95% set that we are going to wait until our anniversary to start trying. Then I thought that if I got pg right away that I would be pg in July and Aug. and I HATE being hot in the summer... So I thought about waiting till Feb to TTC. so that when summer came around at lest I wouldnt be so big. my DH thinks this is crazy!
Did you girls think of anything like this? or am I off my rocker?
Re: did anyone time when you would be pg?
Ava was absolutely planned - I needed to have her in July between grad school years, so that I could have a baby, have 4 weeks at home, and start the new school year (weekend program) at the end of August, then return to work FT at the end of October. I wanted to ease back into the crazy schedule of FT work and FT school with a new baby.
If it didn't work, I was going to wait to TTC until the baby would have been born after graduation - the following July since classes ran through June.
My OB told me it couldn't be done - you cannot plan a baby down to the month.
I showed her - Ava's birthdate is July 26.
I I do not think it is crazy at all.
That being said, we didn't plan and I got pregnant on Day 3 of being a Mrs! I wouldn't change it for the world
We are trying for a Spring baby...coincidentally, that will mean no shoveling for me this winter, and that absolutely works for me!
Oh and I don't think planning is a bad thing at all, but as Nikos said, you never know how long it's going to take.
Last year we set out to Jamaica to get pregnant.. and I came home with my extra souvenir who is now 3 months old. Our only mistake was not thinking about when I would be due which was in the middle of the winter. IF I decide to TTC we will plan on the due date a little better.
ahh never touching the snow! thats nice!!!
we knew we wanted a spring/summer baby bc H is an accountant and we wanted the baby to come after tax season. As it worked out I was due 15 days before tax day so all in all it worked out how we planned.
Oh and I totally got out of snow duty this yr which was nice since we had so much.
This. We were trying for a late/spring early summer baby but instead we will have a fall baby. I couldn't be anymore happier. I just wanted a baby. Coming from a person who hates hot weather and will be pregnant all summer. I am not really bothered by it. Just overwhelmed with excitement of having a baby.
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
all of this.
We tried to but it didn't work for us. I had always thought it would be nice to have a fall baby (me and my siblings are all fall and DH is late August, so I guess that's why I think it's a nice time to celebrate).
We started trying in Jan, and got PG right away, so the EDD was early Oct. Unfortunately I lost that PG, and when we were given the green light to TTC again, I did the math and realized if it happened right away my EDD would be Christmas day. That was really the last day I'd want to be due but I figured no sense in waiting or timing things now bc who knew how long it would take. Lo and behold I was pg right away again and my DD's bday is 12/29. Honestly, once I knew I was pg and the baby was healthy I didn't care at all when she was due.
IF I could plan for #2 I'd love to have another baby between the months of Oct- April, just for the fact that I could reuse a lot of my maternity clothes and our NB/0-3 month baby clothes.
