What are you getting/doing for your mom/mil

Probably just a card and flowers for my mom, and a card and very small gift (something scrapbooking related) for MIL. Don't have a big budget this year...

We're celebrating actual Mothers' Day with MIL. We'll get her a card and maybe a gift card or flowers. We'll spend brunch or dinner with her. We'll spend a couple of days the following week with my mom when we're on a trip to L.A. We'll do the same for her and take her out for dinner probably.

we will not be doing anything on mother's day. well, I might be spending the day crying, not a mother and I don't have one. MIL is out of town until the 10th and Dh still hasn't thought of anything....which is giving me anxiety!!

We bought picture frames and are going to get some of our newborn pictures printed and put those in there. For MIL, I have no clue.

Hopefully I will be giving my mom a grandchild, but the current plan is a card and her favorite flowers. MIL is deceased.

possibly a nice email. living so far away makes it hard to coordinate gifts or even a phone call. ehh, hopefully it's the thought that counts.

See my other post. Trying to figure out what we can mail to mil without breaking the bank. Hopefully a gift card to a chain restaurant that we can buy down here.

As for my mom, a card and a small donation to Heifer International.

(The difference makes me giggle. My anti-consumerist mom gets a donation for a charity she loves. Dh's not only gets something non-local, but it's got to be big national chain.)

MIL, GMIL, and my aunts all got photo cards of C. MIL also got a small gift bag of Purell bottles that we called the "gift of health" - she tutors kids and is always picking up their colds etc.

MIL, Step-MIL and my mom are all getting Kohl's gift cards from us and See's Candies gift certificates from the kids. We usually try to do something a little more personal and thoughtful but we ran out of time this year since we've been so busy with the new babies.
