Moving Companies

Hi girls,

We found a house and are moving toward the end of the month. Could ya'll recommend a reliable, reasonable mover that you have used or heard good things about?

  • We used Apple Moving and I was really happy with them.

Yep - I've used them twice. Once about 3 years ago moving from one apartment to another. And again this year to unload the U-Haul that we drove here from Atlanta.

Both times they were really nice and pretty reasonable (I think it was about $300 total for the minimum three hours).

That price sounds about right, I couldn't remember what unloading was or just a shorter move.  We used them from Laredo to Austin for a 2500 sq ft house FULL of furniture and it was $2800, so I figured an in town move would be a lot less :)

ETA: keep your reciept!  Usually moving expenses are tax deductible.

I've had good experiences with M&M Moving.

    Me too!

  • We used Advantage Moving.  We didn't have any issues and they were much more affordable than many of the others.  I would use them again if we were to move again.
