Our trip to Toronto was great.
We took the train up after work on Friday and it was interesting to say the least. Sitting right across the aisle from us was what I can only describe as a mentally ill man. He was constantly up and down (and taking his things with him) and mumbling and talking to himself (at one point we heard something about mind reading and not messing with him). This poor teenage boy got on at the next stop and had to sit next to him. He was all in his face and there wasn't really anything we could do. Eventually another man a few seats back 'invited' the teenager to come watch a movie on his computer. After the boy left, this guy took his things again and we never saw him again.
Saturday morning I ventured out for a run despite my husbands wishes. I had to leave my cell phone at home with my brother who was watching our cats since we don't have a landline and he doesn't have a cellphone and we can't just leave him without anyway to communicate. Mark's big concern was me being out with no phone and no way to contact him. I asked our friends roommate (our friend is actually in Cambodia right now) where I should go running and he gave me directions. Well, I went right instead of left onto the main street so I ended up not going where I was supposed to. I eventually figured this out and turned out.
Went shopping at the Eaton Center on Saturday. I tried on some Lululemon pants and found I was not really impressed. I like my New Balance better. We went to the Lucky store and I found a pair of jeans that I love and they were $30 off!
Saturday night was UFC. The Skydome (that's what it will always be to me) was PACKED. We had a bunch of crazies around us. The guys behind us got kicked out probably 3 fights into the undercard for smoking pot. Two rows in front was a group of people who kept getting up and down and switching seats with other friends farther back and they all seemed to think the event was their own personal dance party. But, all the fun people made for a fun night. The fights were all good, too.
Sunday I got out for another run. This time I went the right way! I started raining a bit but it was very nice. There was a 10km race that morning and I wish I would have known because I would have entered.
We didn't get home until 8:30 last night and I had to take a muscle relaxant for my sore neck which zonked me right out and I felt pretty hung over this morning and had to skip the gym.
I don't think I could ever live there but I really like visiting.
Re: Interesting Toronto trip
Awesome! Next time you're down try to free yourself up for brunch. Ringy, kaesha and I know an awesome place.
One of the girls I know from GIS/SB on TK ran in that 10k!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Ya-huh!

Next time we will most definitely have to get together. I have to let DH take baby steps...this time he didn't freak out (too much) about me going out running on my own, next time GTG with internet friends!
