what are you getting your mothers/MILs?

Im thinking for my nondeserving mother flowers and lunch will do but Id like to get something nice for my MIL. Any suggestions?

MIL is still away so she's out...no gift for her. Oh well, stick around more often. For my Mom, I was thinking a mani/pedi girls lunch day out.

Since we were major slackers and didn't order our wedding albums til January or February (15 months after our wedding,) both mothers will get getting a duplicate of our wedding album for mother's day.

We are getting my mom a new printer and it's from us, my brother and my dad. We're getting MIL a kindle as a joing mother's day/birthday present and it's from us, SIL and BIL.

I leave my Hubby to deal with his Mother. I'm not doing anything for a woman that doesn't treat my son right.

MY Mother however, drives me batty, but she's my Mom. *shrug* So I'm buying her 2 tix to see the Broadway show Rain. My Mom is a HUGE Beatle fan, so I thought this would be good. If she decides she wants me to go with her, I'll take her to lunch down in the City too.

I'm doing a surprise lunch for Mom, MIL and my aunt. For MIL, H wants to give her a Japanese maple tree and for my mom I got her a Vera Wang bag and earrings from Kohls.

not much for any of them. they dont like us to spend a lot of money on them and lately we dont have to much to spend so that's good. they are each getting framed pictures. im actually giving my mom a groupon- which is ghetto but she'll like it and get a kick out of the fact i got a deal. and also flowers. mil is getting chocolate in leiu of the flowers. i have a stepmom too, and since it would be weird to spend mother's day with her, she always gets a flowers delivery. more importantly, i'm getting a girls weekend! leaving sue for the first time overnight next weekend (i know, she's almost 2, i have issues) and going to AC with a girlfriend. oh and a massage is in the deal too. score for mommy!

mil gets just ava's craft and a card from my kids. she's dh's step-mother, and came into his life when he was in college. she insists she isn't trying to replace his mother, and she's sure hasn't. like a mother-figure would be unwelcome? someone to keep the family together would be nice. the final straw for me was this past passover - sil and boyfriend were included at mil's mother's house and we weren't. she's lucky i'm acknowledging this at all.we will drop off the gift on the way to my mom's and not stay for long. i think that makes a point.

my mom is getting the craft too, and a few herbs to plant, as requested. she also wants us at her house for a bbq for dinner, so we'll be there!

my family is not into "showy" gifts and my mom usually buys herself whatever she wants anyway...i told my brother to make a date and take mom out for sushi. she loves it but doesn't know how to order it and my dad doesn't eat it - she will love that! and i suggested a nice place - you know, it's easy to spend his money!

but would your mil like a kindle or nook? or a charm bracelet? does she have hobbies that a gift would make sense for?

We missed MIL's birthday so we are combining Mother's Day and her birthday present -- 2 tickets to see the Harry Potter exhibit in the city (she's the biggest HP fan I've EVER met!).

For my Mom, we do a Mother's Day brunch every year. It's the day before my due date so I'm only in charge of getting the supplies for mimosas (we have alcohol free champagne too!). I think I'll pick up flowers as well

We are going in with my SIL and getting a joint gift to give my MIL. We are getting her a few Pandora charms for her bracelet.

For my mom? No clue!! I never wait this late. I have no idea what to get her either. I would get her Pandora charms too but I did that already for Christmas. She is super hard to shop for and the clock is ticking.

We are also taking my mom out to brunch on Sunday and then we are hosting dinner at our place for both my mom and his family.
