Our trip to England/Scotland was fantastic....the weather was sunny and 60's-70's every day. Went to a beautiful wedding on a lake, shopped at Topshop and other cool stores, and drank a ton of Strongbow.
In other news, we are moving to Ardmore in mid-June. The day before we left for our trip, a great house went on the market so we put in an offer. It's only 1/2 mile from Suburban Square so I can take the train to work and be able to walk to stuff (our top requirement). We still have to sell our house, but I don't think we'll have any problems b/c there has been a lot of interest. Fingers crossed this all works out!
I'll post pics from our trip once I have a chance to download!
ps: if anyone knows of a good daycare in Ardmore let me know!
Re: back from england, and officially selling out to the burbs
Welcome to the dark side, neighbor! I am excited for you - from one sellout to another, it is nice out here!
I see a daytime Suburban Square gtg in our future. Plus a night time gtg at the Oakmont Pub in Htown
Glad you had a great time in England - look forward to seeing pics!

yay! congrats. what a fun area!?!? i have a few friends with little ones in and around ardmore- i will ask about daycare.
good luck selling the house.
Sorry we'll be losing you!
Glad you had a good trip! I've been hearing about the great weather.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Thanks! I'm so looking forward to the farmers market and walking around Suburban Square (oh - and Chipotle!). Let me know about daycares...I really, realy want something close to the train but we're looking all over Ardmore. I may have to ask you where you get your hair done, etc. too since my current salon is on South Street and may not work. I hate to break up with my stylist though...
I'd love to do a GTG with the girls who live out there. Our closing is mid-June.
Thanks for all of your advice in making our decision...even though I'll miss city living, this is the right thing for us. I still work in CC thought, so at least I have that!
Welcome back! Glad you had a good time. Oliver still good on the plane?
Congrats on the new house. Ardmore is so cute, I'm sure you'll love it there. Good luck selling the other one.
I will say this - seriously consider parking (or you can walk there from your house!) at Ardmore Junction on Haverford Road and taking the Route 100 to the EL. Much much much much more reliable, and cheaper, than the R5.
Welcome back and congrats on the new digs! You aren't too far from me!
How was Oliver on the plane?
LOL you make us sound like real estate moguls. We're keeping the condo and renting it out...and selling our rowhouse.
Rum: I'll look into the Ardmore Junction station...i've heard that train line is cheaper.
Oliver was good on the plane. Slept most of the time on the flight over, and then was semi-calm on the way back. He did want to move around a lot, so we did a lot of walks up and down the aisles holding his hands.
I know! That's what we're thinking --- but, a 3rd floor walk-up is going to be tough when we're 70.
well maybe oliver will have a cool place to live post college
Great! I know I can trust you when it comes to beauty stuff. I'll check out that salon when we move.
