if you ask me what my h's build is i would describe him as normal weight with a big tummy. on a lark i did his bmi and he actually needs to lose 17 pounds to be just to get to the top of the healthy range! i am shocked. i always thought i was the fat one and he was at a healthy weight. it's not fair that men can have some weight on them and look fine. oh and of course my h eats like crap, always has. he has never been on a diet in his life and i don't think this latest news is going to get him to start.

Re: h is overweight
DH's bmi puts him almost into the overweight range. He doesn't look overweight at all. In fact, he works out a ton and has a lot of muscle, and he's tall with broad shoulders. In fact, here he is:
BMI is a tricky thing. It doesn't account for lifestyle.

My H and I have the same build. Thin, but with a large gut in proportion to our bodies. We both look pregnant all the time from the side.
I understand why I have the gut, but my H is super fit (he works out daily for work and runs crazy mileage all the time). It drives him crazy that he has the gut, but I'm happy about it. I don't want to have to work out to keep up with him!
MD - my hubby is "overweight" too apparently by the BMI standards..
6/4 and 215lbs = "BMI 26.17 (overweight)" it said
Ummmm, he doesn't look OW too me?? (pip)....BTW - he's in blue on the right!
Do you guys think that BMI stuff is really accurate? Seems to me it doesn't take into effect build or muscle mass....i agree md, women get the short end of the stick...like always.
