Re: Home
The whole room is about 10x10. It's pretty dated, but I did the best I could do with a very limited budge ($100).
Before:

Semi-after (we still have some remodeling to do, as the paint on the walls--which I haven't redone yet--has begun to peel....grrrr....but this is so far):
Master bath (needs some updates) but it has a double sink, separate shower stall (which I've covered with a curtain cause it's fug and a deep tub (which we never use-except for bathing Lola!).
I hang my most worn necklaces on my side of the vanity:
Tub with window above
Shower
Guest bathroom (upstairs next to bedrooms)
I love my hooks and towels in here:)
Mid-level 1/2 bath (off the living room)
Lower-level 1/2 bath (off the foyer)

I loved the outer shower curtain that they had so we kept it and just changed the color of the walls:
Before...
I got the job of painting the entire bathroom
Ta Da! Nothing spectacular lol
oooh, I've been waiting to show off pics of our master bath remodel!!! All DIY mind you...
Before:
After: (we actually have matching charcoal gray towels now, the brown ones were right after the remodel before we got new ones!)
We have a hall bath and a full bath in the basement, but they aren't much to look at yet. We've spruced up the hall bath, but I don't have any pictures of it...
I don't have great pictures. They haven't been updated in a while. My bathroom on the main floor was completely ripped out and remodeled. We had a bright pink sink, gold shower door, CARPET in the bathroom, terrible 70's wallpaper, and I could go on and on and on. I'm not going to PIP our 2nd bathroom because it's in the middle of a remodel and looks terrible!
Granite Counter tops/ brushed bronze fixtures
Ceramic tile floor, Paint, Trim, Heater
New fixtures, lighting, etc
We also have a TON of storage including a very, very large closet! But my favorite part about the bathroom is the 1920's mahogany mirror we got and put up. It's beautiful!
I can actually do this one since I have pics from the remodel
To do the current bathroom justice, you need to look at the before pics: http://randomramblingsofanartsycrafter.blogspot.com/2010/02/its-gonna-happen.html
This is now: http://randomramblingsofanartsycrafter.blogspot.com/2010/04/renovation-mission-complete.html
I like our bathrooms. The only thing I did was put up curtains and hang some pictures. I really want to dress them up a bit more though, especially the downstairs bathroom.
Downstairs bathroom:
The area that needs some sprucing up:
I should mention one hidden detail. Notice how the mirror hangs kind of oddly, and there's that random lightswitch plate next to it? We questioned that after we moved in, so we took the mirror off the wall to reveal:
classy. Looks like there used to be maybe a medicine cabinet with a light in there? Or something. And the previous owner tried to replace it, but either ran out of time or got sick of it. This is the kind of "attention to detail" we have throughout our house. It's ok though, it's on our list to deal with- it is nice having such a giant mirror, though.
Upstairs bathroom:

The previous owners redid the bathrooms themselves not long before they sold the house. The tiles in both bathrooms are the same as the kitchen counters (which is kind of odd, but whatever) and I love how they did the arched tile ceiling in the shower and that convenient little cubbyhole at the back of the shower. However, they didn't buy new bolts that secure the toilets to the floor to accomodate for the thicker tiles, so both toilets are a bit wobbly... I love the light fixtures in the bathrooms (and throughout the house), although forgive that 2 of the lightbulbs are burned out upstairs. We don't need *that* much light, so we haven't changed the bulbs.
We have but one bathroom, and it's small... but it serves its purpose!
The best part of the bathroom, though not pictured, is right there next to the toilet there is a laundry chute that goes right down into the laundry room in the basement. That right there was a selling point for me!
