We haven't done one of these in a while!
Friday: I had the day off! H and I went looking for some supplies for our softball league that starts this Friday. At night, we had our first practice...it was all fun and good until I jammed the CRAP out of my left ring finger. It's currently taped to my middle finger and making everything a *** to type ![]()
Saturday: H worked and then we went to the Sox game with a friend of mine and her fiance.
Sunday: We ran our 2nd 5k EVER (our first was last Saturday). We were a bit hungover and slow, but I finished in 37:00 even. So much better than last week's 47+! Then I went to a family party and my H worked.
How was your weekend??
Re: Weekend recap?
My weekend was good!
Friday: I worked and we had a relaxing evening at home.
Saturday: We went and bought H an early bday present -- a man grill lol! Then ran a couple more errands. My bff came over with her fiance for dinner.
Sunday: Cleaning, hiking, movie and pizza night

It wasn't too shabby!
Friday: I believe we were both so exhausted that we couldn't wait to eat so that we could go to sleep. We headed upstairs while it was still light out and remarked that we were both glad that we are married so that we can blame early bedtimes and overall lameness on that. True story. I was out by 930pm!
Saturday: I braved Walmart early that day, DH cut the grass for the first time this year. He headed out to work. I met up with my SIL to bum around for awhile and bought some new Lush stuff. I spent forever scrubbing the tub clean so that I could relax and take a bath. Then I found that our drain doesn't work and is a damn quick drip. The noise of the water draining made for a not so relaxing bath, so I drank my wine to drown out the noise. Every time I refilled the tub with more water I refilled my wine glass. Um....let's just say I haven't been that drunk since before I met DH. I don't know how I didn't puke.
Sunday: Spent the day recovering from my lame stupidity the night before. I showered at 830pm. Hurrah!
Friday night: pasta dinner with my friends. we were "carbo loading" for our race on Saturday haha. then, we went to be early.
Saturday: 5k race with my friends. I got my best time, 32:17! It was for an animal rescue, so it was nice to see all of the dogs.
Then, my friend had a lia sophia party and I spent way too much money, but I love the stuff I got. We also drank too much wine, and I somehow ended up flipping myself over a table and landing on the floor. who knows haha.
Sunday: I was really sore from the race so we relaxed. went grocery shopping and did laundry.
great job noron! my first 5k was 38 minutes, keep with it!
Friday I worked all day at school and then went downtown with friends for Twilight festivities. Twilight is a bike criterion that is held in Athens every year and is incredible. We had dinner from a street vendor and watched some of the aerialists from the local studio. I went home and watched a movie with hubs and went to bed
Saturday I went shopping for my new bike! I found one that I love and I get to pick it up on Wednesday. H went to the Braves game and when he got home wen went downtown for night two of twilight. It was the speed criterion Saturday night at 7 for the ladies and 9 for the men. They turned downtown into a speedrack and each group did 40 laps - it was some of the craziest wrecks I've ever seen in my life. We stood on the inside of turn 1 and the men kept clipping the fence - scary!
Sunday I worked in studio all day. I had a project due this morning in studio and spent all day Sunday working on it.
Noron - great job on the 5k! I started at 34 minute 5ks and the last one I ran in 26 - keep it up!
You're all Drunky McDrunky pantses!
This weekend was super boring. H worked long shifts Saturday and Sunday and I wasn't scheduled, so I sat around the house reading, sulking, and having my period.
Next weekend should better... Zac Brown Band on Friday! Then a floorset on Sunday, which is not going to be any fun because we're starting late because it's Mothers Day and all the employees except for three of us are mothers. But stating late means being there late, like 3am late. Grr.

My weekend ROCKED!
Friday - Prepped for Saturday, paced the house, went to bed and couldn't sleep. It was like Christmas Eve
Saturday - Wedding! I worked from 7:30am - 5pm and it was amazing. I couldn't stop grinning all day. I got home, ordered pizza and poured a tall glass of wine and put my feet up. I thought my legs were going to fall off at the hip, I was SORE, but it was such an amazing day. I fell asleep on the couch watching Dear John, probably from equal parts exhaustion and boredom. Excited I get to do it all again next weekend!
Sunday - I think I slept about 12 hours, had a lazy morning, and spent the day relaxing and cleaning up the house. DH was in Boston all weekend so it was kinda nice to have the house to myself.
my blog
Thanks for the encouragement, girls! Running 3.1 miles is something I NEVER would've been able to do a year ago, so I'm just really excited I finished without dying. I can't wait to get faster!
Also, I'm glad I wasn't the only drunk this weekend!! Woo!
Musgral, what kind of bike did you get? Keep in mind, I know nothing about cycling - so I'm asking in a "A pretty one? A fast one? A Hello Kitty one?" kind of way
Shazz, I'm so happy to hear the wedding was awesome! When can we drool over teasers on your blog?? No pressure, of course!

Lol I got a Specialized Dolce Sport Comp and I'm supposed to pick it up today and they haven't called and I'm getting super antsy to call them and ask if it's come in yet. I feel like a needy girlfriend (why hasn't he callllllled yet?!) lol. It is a beginning road bike (and when I say beginning I mean like it'll get through a duathlon or some shorter tris) and cost a pretty penny, so it's faster than anything I've ever had before, and it's also beautiful
But here she is - now she just needs a name.
