Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

e-ring is a larger diamond band with five bar set diamonds that are alternating rounds and baguettes. my band is round diamonds also bar set. both are platinum. they look like a set but are from different designers. it took me forever to find the matching band but i am so glad i didnt settle because it's a beautiful piece imo

he picked the ering out. i think i was specific but he didnt remember. all he knew is i didnt want something that stuck up so the lady at the store suggested the diamond band

no. i wanted something more vintage looking and mine is very modern looking

nope. he cant for work and on the weekends he forgets. it also is tight on him so i dont think its comfortable. he will surprise me and wear it every once in awhile and he makes a big point of showing me. it's cute. honestly i thought this would bother me but it really doesnt. he is not some casanova so its really a non issue.
are your rings the originals from when you were engaged or married? nope. my h brought a ring of mine in but the lady at the store thought maybe it was a pinky ring because it was so small. she ended up giving him a 7 when i actually wear a 3 something. the 7 couldnt be sized that small so they had to order me another. i was ok that i didnt have the ring from the actual engagement but was bummed to be without the ring for like 3 weeks right after i got engaged. it sucks telling people you are engaged and then having to explain the ring is being sized over and over. because of course everyone wants to see the ring.

I could see myself maybe someday upgrading the center stone, but it isn't really a huge deal to me. I don't have a wedding band either, but could possibly see myself someday having a custom band made to go with my ring.

What you didn't ask if we (the bride) still wear our rings. Because I haven't actually worn mine in over a month. When I was in New York the beginning of March I was getting on the subway, looked down and realized one of my side marquis stones was GONE. I was so distraught. I thought for sure it was being trampled under a million people's feet somewhere in the street. However, when I got back to the hotel I found it in the bottom of the bag I had been carrying my cameras in - I think it must have gotten snagged when I was pulling one out. I was so happy. However, I've had problems with this stone before, it kept getting loose, and I had to take it into the jewelers several times. They told me that was just the way this ring was and I would have to be bringing it in pretty constantly, which seemed strange to me. So I was really unhappy when it finally fell out. I contacted the designer of my ring directly to ask him if this was really just how the ring was, or if I should be asking them to put a different stone in or something. He was so nice and said that he could fix it for me once and for all if I'd like. I'm taking it to him in California when we go there to vacation next month.

It was designed from this and is exactly the same. Plain wedding band soldered together (the plain band had to be cut out to fit around the bezel).
I also have another ring that I wear when I do yardwork and stuff. It's like this, but not shiny. (I actually wear it on the weekends and stuff sometimes too.)

will you ever add to your rings/change them in some way, replace them altogether, upgrade the stones? Not exactly - Can't really add to mine without redoing the whole thing. I will get more rings though. I want a really wide anniversary band for 5 year.
Something along the lines of this, but not flowers - just design.

does your h wear his ring? Yes, but it's way too big for him and flys off all the time (can't be sized b/c of the metal type). I keep trying to get him to get another one, but he's sentimental about this one.

are your rings the originals from when you were engaged or married? Absolutely. He even had to have his resized, and had the option of just getting a new one or having his cut down (major weight loss). We opted for the cut down so the ring would be the same that I had placed on his finger.

describe your ring: Ering : 3 stone princess cut with channel set princess cut. There is also an inset diamond on the front and the back of the setting. My band is channel set princess cut stone that are the same size as my E rings channel set stones.
do you still like your rings?Yes I love it. The only thing I dont like about it is that he bought it from Shaws Jewelers at the mall and I've had nothing but problems with them. There customer service sucks and I'm tired of dealing with him. Even H has said he will never buy another piece of jewelery from them.

However it took me forever to find that band. All the other princess cute channel set bands diamond are either smaller or bigger then the ones in my Ering. I went nuts finding a band that matched. I ended up finding it at a jeweler on the board walk at the beach!

are your rings the originals from when you were engaged or married? Technically no. Its the same exact style. I had my hand pinned between a brick wall and a hospital stretcher about 6 months after we got married. I cracked the center diamond and they had to cut my ring off my hand in the ER. When I took it to Shaw's under the insurance they suggested replacing the whole ring instead of replacing the diamond and fixing the band. Its the only decent thing Shaw's has ever done. When I had my wedding band soldiered to the Ering the shank of the band cracked and Shaws had to completely replace the shank. I spent months fighting with them over this and went most 4 months with no Ering or band!!
So after my hand healed I bought a work wedding band! Its a 4mm Tungsten band. I wear it for work and yard work. I love it b/c its scratch resistant.
H has 3 wedding bands LOL. He wanted a titanium band but wasn't sure what style he wanted. So I ordered 3 from Overstock and we never sent back the other 2. To date he has only worn his original. Its really scratched and looks pathetic. I keep trying to talk him into wearing one of the other ones but so far he hast.
describe your rings: My e ring is a white gold band with one large round center stone, 3 smaller stones on each side (kind of looks like a heart if you look from the side) with a few smaller stones in the band. My wedding ring fits to the E-ring and has small diamonds in the visible part of the band, it's also white gold. The bottom of my w-ring is sort of squared off so neither ring twists on my finger. H's is a white gold band with small"pinstripes" horizontally on the ring. I wanted him to have some bling in it but he didn't like those :-(

I would like an anniversary band to match my wedding ring someday to wear above my e-ring but other than that, no changes. I'm a big believer in wearing the originals for life (unless one is lost or something of the like)

Is your ring the style you had wanted when imagining an ering before you were engaged? Yes and no. I always thought I wanted a plain band with one stone. Then I saw the Cartier Ballerine ring and thought it was the end all-be-all to E rings, until I tried it on in NY. Very dissapointing, so I went back to wanting a single stone. Not what I got, but I love my ring.
does your h wear his ring? Yep :-) His is sort of a square instead of a perfect circle so it sits flushly against his skin and never bothered him to wear like it does a lot of men. I'm really glad our jeweler recommended that.
Are your rings the originals from when you were engaged or married? Yes, but right now I'm wearing a silver band instead because my left hand is super swollen and I feel claustrophobic wearing my actual wedding rings.

you sound like me trying to find your wedding band. i ordered and sent back three online before i found mine at jared. i get seriously annoyed with them when i have to go back for my 6 month check ups, but sounds like they're better than shaw.
i want a gardening band! LOL.

Even without all the stuff that makes me hate those rings when I was pregnant I couldn't wear them past like 5 months anyways. So now I have a band with a bunch of small diamonds all over. But this is just a temporary one. H knows that for 5 years I want a really nice ring...he said I could get it now but I'd prefer to wait it out.

describe your rings: E-ring is a white gold three stone diamond setting with channel set diamonds in the band. I think the three stones are in what's called a crown setting...?? Looks exactly like this only with the stones in the band as well:

I told him I wanted a princess cut in a cathedral setting, but he got me the round cut. He knew I preferred sparkle over anything else and I'm glad he went with his gut and got the "brilliant" cut instead. I was just parroting what I heard everyone else I knew was saying they wanted. lol.
