Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Guess what I'm making tonight?!
Dirt Dessert!!! Yep, I distinctly remember having this once in kindergarten for someone's birthday when I was 5....well DH turns 25 tomrw and being the wonderful wife that I am, I asked if I could make some kind of birthday treat to bring in and this is what he requested. Lol!

There are different versions; but we made the most basic (which is what we remember eating as kids):
-Chocolate pudding mix <make as directed; ours required the mix and 3 cups milk
-Chocolate cookies (Oreos; we used generic): smash up in ziplock bag
-Gummy worms: we cut into thirds; otherwise eating one full worm in a bite is a big bite!
Mix ~3/4 of gummy worms into pudding; scoop pudding into cups; pour mashed oreos on top; stick in few gummy worms on top so their head is peaking out from the "dirt".

Oh man that looks so yummy! I'm pretty jealous. My mom used to make "dirt cake" for any summer party that my bro and I got invited to. Hers is with pudding, cool whip, powedered sugar, cream cheese, milk, vanilla and oreos. My mom would even go as far as buying fake flowers and stick them in the top lol
Man I really want this now mmmm
I kept finding recipes with the ingrediants above (and butter); but DH is so picky he insisted that cool whip didn't belong. Lol.
I love just mashed oreos with cool whip...mmm!
