Oil Rubbed Bronze Fixtures

I really really really want to put this style in the bathroom we're doing but am hesitant because its our main upstairs bathroom we all use. Will I be sorry? Does it get dirty quickly/easily? Would I get sick of it soon? Any pros and cons? WDTY of them??

  • I don't know anything about keeping that clean, but I love that finish and look!

That's the finish I picked for our powder room on the main floor.  Unfortunately, it's still sitting in a box in the dining room (along with the toilet, sink, and everything else), because DH STILL hasn't put in the new ceiling or subfloor.  Check back in another two years and maybe I'll be able to tell you how I like it!

  • Our kitchen faucet is oil rubbed bronze. I love it and the only issue I've encountered is with our very hard water. It cakes up and creates a white film but it's nothing a rag can't take care of!

  • I dont have it so I can't answer about cleaning but I like it mucho!

  • Thats what we picked too!  love it.  we have hard water too, and i was afraid of that white cakey film, but if it comes right off with a rag, i dont think ill mind too much.

Here is a real life picture I found but ours will be 36" with 2 doors and 2 drawers and we're going with a granite more like the lighter color pictured.

What colors did you go with?

  • I don't have it so I can't comment, but I love the color and shape.

Not on Ebay, through a company in Philly. I think we found a better option today though. I found a company who builds cabinets for contractors and its within our price range with every I want.
