Style help, please!

I'm having a hell of a time deciding between two dresses for my upcoming baby shower in June, and since you all have given great advice in the past, I'm turning to you for help! I have three that I keep going back and forth between:

I love this dress! This isn't a maternity dress, but I tried it on at their store when I was in Annapolis just for fun and it actually fit very well. I love the sort of garden party theme of it, and could wear it for more than just my pregnancy, which is a bonus. A little pricey, but well made.

I have heard great things about More of Me Maternity, and am a complete ho for nautical stripes, so I'm loving this. Our decor will have a navy blue & light pink nautical flag theme, so I was thinking of pairing this with a pink cardigan.

I just found the Mayreau and I thought it was very sweet. This is actually a maternity/nursing friendly dress (has a hidden access point in the folds), so it could serve me well for post-birth as well. Not sure about the no straps, and as with the Asos dress, I would wear with a cardigan over top for some extra coverage. Thought it might be cute w/ a light pink cardi, sort of playing of the party color scheme?

They are all around the same price point, so it's a pretty level playing field in that regard. I think a longer dress will be more comfortable and provide a little warmth, depending on the weather. I can also wear a pair of leggings underneath if it is a bit colder and for extra support if needed. Thoughts??? TIA!

    THIS!

  • I agree, first!

  • I love the first one too, but also think the second one is really cute.  I'm not as big a fan of the third one; it's a fine everyday dress, but it doesn't seem as special as the other two.  So if they're all the same price point, I'd say go for the first one, since it has a life after pregnancy (and looks nursing friendly, too).

  • Thanks all- great minds think alike! I'm pretty sure I'm leaning towards #1, but I still adore #2, sigh! I think I'll end up getting the first for the actual shower and then maybe if I have a little spare cash sitting around in the next little while I'll pick up the striped dress just for a fun present to myself. Of course, knowing me this will all change in the next 30 mins. Thanks again!

  • I actually like the second one.  Normally I'd run screaming for the hills with horizontal stripes, especially while PG, but if you love the stripes, I love the idea of this one with the pink cardigan. And if you like your legs while PG, it's nice to show them off when you are otherwise feeling like a house.

The first one has a lot going on, and I personally am not a fan of the patten.  But it would be nice to be able to keep using it.

I would avoid strapless- but then again I don't like strapless dresses normally given I have no boobs to hold it up!

  • I melted over the first one.
  • I love number 2, especially pairing it with pink. The first, while I love it, feels a bit busy.
  • Hmmmm, maybe I'll be a little diva and have a wardrobe change 1/2 way through the party??? Stick out tongue

I could also name my child Morocco or Monroe, like a certain diva who I happen to share a name with...

LOL go for it! I love how the girl doesn't have a middle name since Mariah doesn't, yet the boy does. Not saying it's wrong not to have a middle name, I didn't until I got married and threw my maiden name over to the left :P

  • Number 3 - not busy like #1 so I could see your bump, and not #2 horizontal stripes that would show too much bump.

that would show too much bump.

Is there such a thing as "too much bump"?  I love a pregnant belly!

  • My vote is for #2 hands down. I like 1 as well, but 2 is definitely my favorite. I'm sure you'll look gorgeous no matter which one you go with!
