I found an old savings bond (I was about to throw it out!) that was given to me by my aunt. I was so excited to cash it in, but I realized it has 1. my maiden name (easy to prove my name change) 2. my aunt's old address from two houses ago and 3. a social security # that is not mine, I am assuming it's my aunt's. What are the chances I can cash this? Should I just take it to the bank and see what they say? Or give it back to my aunt and ask her to cash it for me?

Re: Savings Bond help
Slow day at work, so I tried to research it using this document at http://www.treasurydirect.gov/forms/sav0022.pdf
It sounds like you are the beneficiary of the savings bond. You can only cash it once your aunt is deceased and you'd need to present the death certificate. However, your aunt CAN cash it for you. So if that would not be awkward.weird, I would definitely ask her to do it for me.
Thanks! Would not be awkward, I just don't see her much. She would probably be happy that I still have it after 10 years!
