Re: Kat
thanks, girls. Fair warning - kinda
ahead... and long.
No, not really doing well today. She is a sleep fighter, and she was coming off the anesthesia yesterday and was moving around a lot. She'd sit up, stretch out, throw her legs over the side of the bed, reapeat. Well, she was kinda in and out of it. They pulled her breathing tube out just fine and got her to sit up and move in and out of the bed pretty well. Then at some point she ripped out her picc line.

Her nurse re-established that, however, there were other complications yesterday and they decided to re-intubate her. Her breathing was poor, her kidneys are meh, & she's not responding as well as they'd like. So she's in CICU for at least today, I'm assuming tomorrow as well
AND THEN THERE'S FARKING FACEBOOK.
I farking posted last night at 10min til 8 that mom could use some T&Ps (thanks for all of those, btw!) We're heading out the door to go see mom, and her mom (g'ma) calls me on the phone. "WHAT'S WRONG? WHAT'S GOING ON???"
hrrrrrrh? "what do you mean?" (We DO NOT tell g'ma details - she's a hand wringer, pot stirrer to the extreme, so we've been purposefully playing all details down!)
"Your aunt saw on FB that she needs PRAYERS TONIGHT!!! WHAT'S WRONNNNNNG???"
JFConaFC. .... "she's fine! nothing to report! (drop keys in the rain) GFD! no problems at all! (can't get umbrella closed and get in car) FFFFF." (hang up phone)
I then have to call my dad & my sister and say "I didn't tell her anything! I SWEAR! GD FACEBOOK!"
So, yeah. Last night and today she's back to twilight sedation while they get her kidney/breathing issues sorted out.

Thx, Noelle. I appreciate it - I'm more concerned for Dad! I think tomorrow night we'll have dinner at their house like we normally do on Thursdays (usually @ G'ma's house) just to be with him. Its our 4th anniversary tomorrow too.

thanks. Dr Google informed us that 20% of heart surgery patients can expect some kind of kidney issue in the week following surgery. Its the lungs that have us concerned. She can get pnuemonia so very easily.
Thanks for all the T&Ps. I appreciate it!
