Flying Questions
I am heading to Florida next week to watch my sister at the NCAA golf tournament. I'm hoping to only take a small suitcase and use it as my carry on as well. My questions are:
Does hair gel and other products all need to be 3oz or less? Do they all need to be in baggies? If they are in a plastic makeup-type bag, do they also need to be in baggies? How the heck am I going ot pack for 4 days (2 outfits per day) and keep it to one suitcase....anyone want to help a self proclaimed HEAVY packer?

I just traveled for 5 days and took one computer case. It can be done.
It might be pretty tough if you're going to wear 2 outfits a day though.
Yes anything liquid/gel needs to be 3oz or less and it all needs to fit in a quart sized baggie together.
I can't help you with the packing-thing - because I almost always have to pay the extra money because my bag is too heavy.
Anything that you carry on has to be in a clear Ziploc bag (no bigger than 1 qt.), and less then 3.4 oz. I typically just throw anything in my purse into a bag, just to be on the safe side. The last time I traveled, I did notice them pulling people out of line for not having clear bags, though, so make sure you've got that.
Yep, any liquids and gels have to be traveled sized and in a baggie. Some airports and some TSA people are pickier than others. I lost a brand new bottle of VS perfume once because it was too big
I got it through one airport, but the other caught it.
I agree with recent events, they could be screening a little more. I am definitely a heavy packer too. I always have to check a bag, and sometimes pay the extra for the weight. Good luck with that and good luck to your sister!

lol! I've got to pack my own stuff up. I'm heading back out too!
I try to rotate 2 pr of khakis and wear one pr of comfy but dressier shoes each of the days and change the shirts instead. (they take up less room. Then one pair of PJ's, my computer, and cosmetics. I roll the shirts so they don't wrinkle and then put them in a baggie and smoosh all of the air out. Cosmetic bag or jewelery can go inside a pair of shoes to take up less room, etc. I traveled a lot for a previous job and got tired of losing luggage.
