Appetizers

I committed to bringing a few apps to a dinner party this Friday.  I am so tired of the same old cheese & crackers or veggie platter.  Usually I make a really good buffalo chicken dip, but I do not feel like schlepping my crock pot to this party.

Any good appetizer recipe reccs??  Tia!

  • Baked brie is my favorite. In puff pastry with jam would be glorious.

I'm a dip whore. So I usually make a lot of different dips.

  • this was posted on what's cooking today and i've been craving it ever since:

  • I call it my "crack dip" because it is that addictive.

2 cans of chunk chicken (sounds gross but is fine for this recipe)

    2 packages cream cheese, softenened

    1 cup Ranch dressing

    3/4 cup hot sauce

    1 1/2 cups shredded cheese

Celery, crackers, nachos and any other dippers you would like (celery & crackers are my fav)

Shred chicken. In a nonstick pan over med heat, heat chicken and add hot sauce.  Melt in cream cheese.  When all melted together, add 1/2 cup of cheese.  Add to crockpot.  When ready to serve, put on low, melt remaining cheese and enjoy...uggggghhhh heavenly.

  • You could do a 7-layer dip. Or a quicker version is cream cheese, refried beans and cheese. Melt and serve!
