I need your fashion help!
Ok ladies, I have to find a dress for graduation. They sent instructions out that we have to wear "dark dresses or pants" and "dark" shoes. So, here is a dress I found that I like and looks nice on me. However, I'm debating on the purple. Does it qualify as dark? I mean, I'm wearing a freaking robe - who cares?
Then I have a shoe dilemma. I don't want too high of a heel for fear of tripping and falling to my embarrassment in front of thousands of people. I mean come on, Dr.Phil is going to be there....... I guess he could console me after I embarass myself though. Anyway, I digress

Purple definitely qualifies as dark, and it's not like you're going to a funeral. They just don't want pops of white & yellow sticking out from under black robes, I'm sure.
Any black shoes you have would work too. If it's on grass, though, I'd go with flats, a wedge, or a chunky heel. I've had to do that toe-stepping on grass in narrow heels so I don't sink in and it sucks.

I know! I told my mom was mad about that too because I just bought the cutest pair of nude pumps and I can't wear them. I would actually consider being a rebel with my dress because they can't see it but the shoes would be a little obvious if I walked across the stage with bright red or something. However, gray is a good option - I didn't think about that.
