Cheap Vacay?

The only real vacation experience was my HM in Hawaii and it was hella expensive.

That being said, I know nothing about how far my money will take me other places. Is it possible to spend $1500 max for 2 people to spend 3-4 days somewhere all inclusive in Oct/Nov? Not too picky on location. Warmth and palm trees are a must though.

TIA!

Re: Cheap Vacay?

  • We went to Riviera Maya in Sept 08 all inclusive through Apple Vacations (booked through Brookside though) and it was $1600 total.  We did the 5 apple square deal, so we didn't get to pick the resort, just the time we were going.  We were guaranteed a 5 apple resort at a minimum.  It was great for us.

    Ditto this!!

If you are a costco member, check out costco travel.  They have some pretty good deals.  I have also been getting great deals from cheapcaribbean.com.  They have a sale going on that ends this weekend.

  • My answer is maybe.

Airfare is RIDICULOUS right now, as in most destinations are up 50-100%.  The resort prices remain reasonable.  Your best bet is Mexico
