What's in your refrigerator?
On my to-do list today is creating an itemized list of everything that was in our refrigerator and freezer, because our insurance says they'll reimburse us for that along with the other things on our claim. We grilled everything we could, but I still threw away 2 garbage cans full of food. If anyone is bored, you can help me brainstorm things commonly found in a refrigerator..... and if you wanna add prices that'd be fabulous, too. I can remember the big things like meat and fruit/veggies, but we had a door full of condiments, dressings, sauces, etc. :-/
Re: What's in your refrigerator?
I'm sorry you have to go through all this
I know that I have Kraft salad dressing, sweet baby rays bbq sauce, soy & terryaki sauce, butter, eggs, soda, beer, milk, cheese, applesauce, yogurt and I am sure a bunch more.
ugh, sorry sweetie, I wish I could come over and help!
we always have milk and oj and a carton of eggs, various fruits and veggies, some misc fresh herbs, shredded cheese and blocks of cheese, deli slices of cheese.
currently on the door of the fridge: margarine and butter, ketchup, ranch, light italian dressing, usually at least 2-3 kind of BBQ sauce, a jar of pickles, a tube of tomato paste, at least 2-3 kinds of jelly/preserves, yogurt, usually some salsa, cocktail sauce, jar of pesto, usually a carton each of chicken stock and beef stock, little containers of lemon and lime juice, a carton of chai concentrate.
Oh wait, you said you DO need to replace your condiments. Okay, here:
Ketchup - $4 for the big bottle
Mustard - $1
Mayonnaise - $3 for the good kind
Relish? - $2
Jelly? - $2-3
Salad dressing? - $3
barbecue sauce? - $3
salsa - $3
the only other things i can think of are horseradish, jalapenos, garlic, dipping mustards, and wine in my door.
think about what you had as part of your meal plan that week- any vegetables, thawed or special cuts of meats, lunch meat.
did you do freezer already?
Thanks ladies. This is really helping! I'm about to go check out the grocery store ads this week, too. I already did the freezer. It was pretty easy: meat, veggies, fruit, lots of ice cream. Is there anything else in a freezer? These damn condiments are killing me.
I asked Robin about the alcohol. We had 3 bottles of liquor in our freezer. He said they were fine, because they could be in the cabinet. Is that right? I had a bottle of wine in the refrigerator, which I'm putting on the list. It smells ok, but I'm super afraid of mold.
do you keep anything "extra" in your freezer for quick dinners? like pizza, chicken patties or nuggets, fish sticks, etc?
oh i guess im forgetting drinks in the fridge. what about soda, bottled water, juice, teas, or lemonades?
Stand up for something you believe in.
Basically all that's in our fridge right now is condiments so here they are:
Miricle Whip
Mayonaise
ketchup
Mustard
Spicy brown mustard
italian dressing
ranch dressing
hot sauce
worcestershire sauce
bbq sauce
sour cream
salsa
whipped cream
yogurt (not really a condiment, but thought I'd throw it out there too)
soy sauce
Parmesan cheese
Probably restating a bunch of ladies, but my fridge includes:
deli meat/chesse, milk, tea, juice, beer, wine, mikes hard lemonade
potatoes, carrots, american cheese slices, philly cream cheese, sour cream, ricotta cheese, butter
Condiments:
relish, maraschino cherries, ketchup, jelly, pickles, mayo, ranch dressing, mustard, hershey's syrup, 3 different big things of coffee creamer
Plus a bunch of random leftovers (BBQ chicken, spaghetti, deviled eggs, veggie soup) and about 27 packets of taco bell taco sauce.
