Are you all getting anything for your Mom's or doing something special with them on Sunday?
My Mom hasn't exactly been my favorite person lately, but she'd freak out if I didn't spend Sunday with her, so myself along with my siblings are going to get suckered into doing something awful...her latest idea was having all of us help weed/plant her garden and then take her out to dinner...yeah.....fun..... Anyway, I couldn't think of anything to get her and didn't really want to put much thought into it because like I said, I'm not all that fond of her right now, so I just ordered her some flowers to be delivered tomorrow as an early Mother's Day present. They look like this but with a clear vase because I had a coupon for that...

Hopefully she likes them and doesn't question me as to why I would buy her flowers that will die and go on and on about what a waste of money it is. She's really a lovely woman
Anyone else not in the Mother's Day spirit? Or are you totally excited to spend time with your Mom or are you planning a special gift?

Re: Mother's Day gifts
For my momma, we sent flowers to her office, almost identical to yours Xan (it was a radio ad so we got them cheap!) so she'll be so excited to feel so special! Also, she typically cooks for all of us on Sundays, so this Sunday I'm cooking at my house so she can relax and enjoy the meal without any work.
MIL, we also sent her flowers to her home office to suprise her. We got her the same bouquet so no one's feelings get hurt lol We're also taking her to dinner and the Phillies game on Saturday since she loves it.
I'm excitied for a family-filled weekend.
Mine was a radio ad too that I heard this morning coming into work lol. Proflowers.com, right? Too bad the shipping costs as much as the actual flowers did lol.
Yes! Exactly! I was so proud to get them at such a sweet price, then checking out I was like holy sh!t are they packaged in frikkin gold and hand delivered by Gerard Butler or some sh!t?!? Jerks always find away to take our money lol
If the Gerard Butler thing is true, please send some to me. I'll pay for the shipping
My mom lives half way across the country, so I send a card and call her. We just saw Chris' parents last week, and they live 2 hours away, so again, we sent a card and I will have to remind him to call.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermMy mom is coming to our church on Sunday. The men at our church always do something nice for all the moms (food, corsages, etc.) Then we will probably take her out to eat. She is the hardest person to shop for because she has everything! But we are giving her a copy of our wedding DVD that just came in. I think she forgot about it, so I know it is something she will appreciate!
MIL lives out of state, so we sent her a copy of the wedding DVD, a popcorn popper, and kernals with a card that say we are treating her to Movie Night on us. I don't think she's expecting that at all. Hopefully she will like it!

We have nothing planned as of yet. We always just go up to my parents' house (which we often do on Sundays anyway), and my dad and/or Chris will grill something and we hang out most of the day.
As for gifts, my mom is like yours, Brooke. Impossible to buy for! She also doesn't love receiving flowers (unless it's a small arrangement that doesn't cost much), so that's out. I'm really not sure what to get for her.
I will definitely bring cupcakes from a bakery somewhere around here (there are several cupcakeries in the area) because she (and we!) love cupcakes a little too much.

What a cute idea! I am sure she is going to loooooooove it!
lol Such a typical guys way to get out of something. I told Jason I was going to get one for my Mom and said he should probably get one for his grandmom and his Mom too, and he said, "true, so while youre getting your Mom's, can you just pick up two more." lol
My poor mom has to work all weekend so I am going to send her flowers at work and I am having one of Logans first birthday pics framed for her. Then next week we are going to take her out to dinner.
Other than that I have no idea what Mike is doing for me, but it better be better than last year which was NOTHING! I don't need much just to be acknowledged.
Oh no! My best friend said the same thing happened to her last year (she was like two weeks into being a mom, so you'd think it would've crossed her husband's mind - haha!). Men just don't think sometimes!
I hope he does something really great this year, as I'm sure he knows he messed up last year

YUP! He asked that I order one for MIL, and for his Aunt (matriarch) since neither of us have grandmothers, shes pretty much the closest thing we have. Men. He asked me last week if "we'd" ordered them yet and when I said no, he had the nerve to say "we" should definitely do it tomorrow.. I just went ahead and gave him "the look" and kept watching tv lol
HAHA! The "we" thing is the worst. For Easter I made each of our families a little basket filled with homemade chocolate chip cookies; when he handed it to his grandmom and one to his Mom, he said "WE made this for you." Ummm pretty sure I was the one in the kitchen for hours making 6 dozen cookies, the one who spent an hour wrapping all the baskets and the one writing in the cards...thanks for all your help bud lol. His family pretty much knows what 'we' means though considering both his Mom and Grandmom called my phone to thank ME for the cookies lol.
