Happy Cinco De Mayo Ladies

Are you doing anything to celebrate?

Re: Happy Cinco De Mayo Ladies

  • Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

I wish I was celebrating tonight and this weekend, but I can't Sad

Tonight is teacher appreciation night at the girls' soccer game, and I am being honored.  John works nights all weekend, so I probably won't go out.  The last few years we have gone to a local Mexican restaurant to hear my neighbor's band play out in their parking lot tent party, and that is always so much fun!

I've actually never celebrated Cinco de Mayo. It just wasn't a big deal where I grew up.

  • DH and I only celebrate it because it's his birthday. But dispite my best efforts to try to make this a somewhat happy birthday, I don't think it's working.

DH was pretty upset last night talking about his brother and about a trip we had planned for Memorial Day weekend to go down to DC to visit his brother. So I know that is still weighing heavily on him today. He told me he didn't feel much like celebrating anything this year. It just breaks my heart to see him like this.

Sorry for being such a Debbie Downer....

  • We celebrated when I was in college. Mainly because the local mexican resturants did 2 for 1 margaritas and that always appealled to us. Since we have gotten married we do not do anything.

Im sorry :(  Would he be up for going out to eat, and lots of margaritas?  If not, get chipotle and make margaritas at home.

DH is going to a party, Im staying at home.  But, I will have the TV all to myself ;)
