Re: Baby shower idea for the preggers...

  • That's super cute and I LOVE the look on the mom's face when she found out.

  • We did this at our baby shower.  I thought that only DH and my immediate family cared and was excited.  It was cool to see everyone excited about the cake.  And DH's face is the priceless one, he really wanted a boy :)

Pooks are you still doing this at your shower?

  • Cute idea.

I personally would want to know in a quiet setting with DH first. I am not sure my reaction would be quite as 'photo worthy' as that lady. I have been to a shower where someone did this,  I think it was really hard for them to be as excited as everyone else as they were a little disappointed. Of course now they are over the moon that they are having another boy, but they could have used some private time to let it sink in. I guess the moral of the story is if you really care or have a preference, don't find out with lots of people around.

I am not sure now. Some stuff has gone down lately so dh and I are ordering our cake this weekend but we wondered if it was not as cool since the two of us already knew.

We also were going to have pink and blue ribbons for people to pin on for whatever team they are and then do a banner reveal possibly .

I do LOVE the look on the mother's face, how cute.

I really agree with this, if the couple does not know already.

You know, maybe we will then, that seems easier to do that than the banner idea anyway. Maybe I am just too lazy to actually look for a banner.

If we do that when do we cut the cake, usually you do it before opening gifts right? So people can have something to eat while they watch(aka fall sleep).
