The photo of DD and DH waiting for the parade, her arms around him, has me in tears.  So sweet.

*disclaimer* I am generally an emotional mess lately.  Cold-hearted commentary to return one day soon, I hope.  ;)

Will you be making a BFP announcement soon?!  :P

And Kate, I agree, that picture is precious!

Wait, you're getting divorced?  I am so sorry to hear that.  What a tough thing to go through, I can only imagine the stress that puts you under :(

I know you are not the share your feelings with internet strangers type, but if you need to do a feelings dump, PM me anytime.

Glad to hear that other than the occasional bump in the road you are in good spirits.  Once you get a little time under your belt, those emotional moments will fade.  I guess it has to be bad before it gets better, right?

Oh, and sorry for putting my foot in my mouth with the KU comment.  I feel like an asss now.

    ((hugs))

Right.  Most of the emotional moments tie into DD and her relationship with stbX.  I just hope he is as good a dad as she needs throughout life, you know?  And he's not a bad guy at all - just not the best husband for me and I'm not the best wife for him.  We're friendly, but have no business staying married.  Like I said, I hope he can just be the dad she needs and the dad he wants to be.  All of that will take plenty of time to sort out.  As for me, I have been an awesomely kickass mom from Day 1, so no worries there.  ;)

No need to feel bad.  Not like it was announced here or anything.  Anyone who has attended a recent GTG in my presence was told, but I wanted to be moved out and on before I said anything on the internet.  ;)  How could you have known?  Apparently nesties around here are not very gossipy.

Sorry, k8.  Totally jacked this thread and threw a divorce up on it.

I had to read that twice! Not that I have too much to offer but if you need anything let me know! I have felt that you have been supportive of me going through my issues with my H and I am thankful!

    I love my crazy child!

  • Nicole you sound like you are handling this very well, I'm happy to hear that!  You indeed have been very supportive to Liz and everyone else who needs support as well, and there are lots of girls on here who've got your back if you ever need it, this girl included!  I'll pass on Four Green Fields tomorrow (the whole not drinking thing...) but I'd definately love to do cupcakes Wednesday!

(Hi K8!!  Sorry for crashing your thread :)

  • Nicole! I had no idea.

I can read that your-ever-rational/practical self is handling the divorce just fine, but, yeah, then there's the emotional side.

I'm so sorry. I don't know what else to say, especially in this medium, but I'd be more than happy to listen over cupcakes and wine, anytime.  I don't have firsthand experience with divorce, but my mom's done it 4 times, and I've been the listener every time, and although it seems that all parties are better for it eventually, it's dam hard in the meantime. You got support here anytime.
