I'd like to start shopping Farmer's Markets to get some fresh, local produce, but I have no clue where they are. I know there is one off of 295 in Cumberland during the summer, but where are the other ones?
Talk to me about where you go

Re: Farmer's Market
This is an awesome site to let you know about all of the markets

I've heard the Hope Market one in Prov is awesome,b ut I haven't gone. I go to one locally in CT and the website that pp mentioned is a great resource to find them.
I'm going to page Jerrah to get more info on the one on Rt. 116 though as I've always wanted tot ry that one.
The Coastal Growers Market at Casey Farm on Rt. 1A in North Kingstown is my favorite that I've been to in the state. I live in Smithfield, so it's a hike, but DH and I usually bring a cooler and just make it a stop on the way to the beach when we go. There is such a variety of stuff there, from local dairies to seafood vendors, to Seven Stars Bakery serving breakfast and a brick-oven pizza truck making fresh to order pizzas. You can probably do all of your shopping for the week there - meat, veg, seafood, dairy, and breads. It's awesome. I was like a kid in a candy store the first time we went.
And I sound like an infomercial. Ha!

omg that sounds amazing!! why isn't there something like that in northern ri?! lol
We are going to try the one at Goddard Park tomorrow and we usually stop by the one at Lippit Park during the summer. We also do the indoor market at Hope Artiste Village because Mike rents a studio there. I have found that one has great stuff but get there early because it gets crowed really fast and the vendors tend to sell out.
I have heard that Attleboro Farms has a good market as well.
