Any cabin goers?
I'm curious if anyone is headed up to a cabin this weekend? It's Wisconsin's fishing opener so we're going for that. I won't be doing much fishing myself, mostly cooking, spring cleaning, and putting the dock in. My family has a cabin in Cable, Wisconsin on Lake Namakagon. It's a 3 1/2 hour jaunt but worth the drive every time! I sure hope the rest of this week flies by...

My family has a cabin about 90 miles from here. We probably won't go out until Memorial Day weekend though. My dad has been out a few times getting things ready - I think he's really itching to put the boat in the water!! We (I should say he) have been jetski shopping so I'll be excited to see if there are any new toys out there this summer!!
There is nothing like a Minnesota summer weekend at the lake!!! I'm SUPER excited about boat rides with my skipper and first mate ;-)

This picture looks like it could have been taken at my cabin! Our cabin is in Ottertail, and we won't be heading there until Memorial Day weekend. The water is usually still too cold that weekend, so I am always more excited for 4th of July. The thought of the hot/warm sun makes me feel very happy!

so, it may be a while before we go up there... you practically need the boat as soon as you open the front door!

I am excited for cabin season!
My parents are in the process of putting in an offer on a short sale/foreclosure place this week. EEEEEK. If they get it the plan would be for them to level the terrible cabin (think mid 1960's in bad shape - think burst pipes, wiring held up with masking tape, sagging floors) that exists on the gorgeous lot and start from scratch with a new cabin that I will hopefully have some part of regarding the design
