Anyone doing anything fun to celebrate? We are just having tacos for dinner.
Re: Happy Cinco de Mayo!
We have always gone out, but not this year.
I did make some nasty enchiladas from a box last night. I will not be doing that again.
Hoping my dog has a playdate tonight, but we'll see.
that's crazy talk, woman!
No big plans for me, just the usual gym + dinner + thursday night shows routine.
I'm not celebrating tonight either. I have to give a presentation tonight and H will be in bed before I get home.
I totally forgot about this. We'd usually have tacos or fajitas at home, and maybe some margaritas. But I'm home sick today, and not about to hit up the store for supplies, so it's leftover mac & cheese lasagna for dinner.
Oh! We have some tortilla chips left over from a couple of weeks ago. We can have those on the side - mmm, stale tortilla chips, heh.
Nothing planned here either. Just another Thursday night. I did ask DH if he wanted me to make tacos in honor of Cinco de Mayo - his response: I'm not Mexican.
Who are these people who don't like mexican? What is there not to like about mexican? That is like not liking carbs.
My husband is one of these people. It's irritating. He'll eat tacos....but that's because he only makes them with meat and cheese. And salsa if I puree it. Yes, that's right, pureed salsa. No chunks for my man.
Ugh. It's like cooking for a 5 year old.
I don't dislike Mexican but it's not my favorite cuisine and I never crave it. That said, I'd go Rick Bayless's Xoco for breakfast every day of the week if I could (he's the winner of the first Top Chef Masters and all three of his Mexican-specialty restaurants are all on the same block in Chicago).
Besides, you're the chick who doesn't like sushi and I think that's blasphemous
Last year we went to a new place in Wayland that had a very yummy buffet.
Nothing this year though. DH went on his first work trip yesterday, left the house at 4am, and didn't get home last night until 1am. And now he has practice tonight for his Acoustic duo he put together. I stayed home today with a migraine, so we're ordering in pizza tonight.
Otherwise, I'm would have loved some tacos and margaritas!! Maybe we'll celebrate this weekend instead
