16 and pregnant
Anyone watch this show?
It makes me really glad that I have a loving stable committed relationship with my future children's father and that when that time does come, I won't have to worry about trying to balance school with a new baby.
I'm not looking down on anyone who did have a baby that young, because I have seen teen mothers who really make it work (my 18 year old cousin who has a 3 1/2 year old), I'm just really glad that I won't have to worry about the issues faced by teen moms.

I've heard that teen pregnancies have actually decreased in the US in the past few years and some attribute it to shows like this. It shows both the good and bad these moms go through. I used to be very against the show, but I've come to believe that the teen moms' lives aren't glamorized by the media. I support any teen watching this show.
I don't look down on any teen parents either, but obviously, they could have made better decisions. I still sometimes find it amazing that with all the information out there, these girls got pregnant because they ultimately didn't care to protect themselves or think of the consequences. If a teen is going to be sexually active, I don't think it's too much to ask that they remember a condom. They're old enough to be responsible about that sort of thing.
Do the creep.
I like to watch this show if I catch it. I don't go out of my way to watch it. I do have mixed emotions about the whole thing though. I would like to think that the show portrays that these girls are going through a lot of turmoil due to the choices that they have made - but at the same time I think it does glorify it just a tad. How many teenagers would dream to be famous and on a TV show on MTV, well according to this show just have unprotected sex and get pregnant and you'll get to be famous!
I do feel for those girls though - many of them go through some really horrible things, things I wouldn't wish on anyone. Many of whom seem like they have very low self esteem and allow themselves to be treated accordingly. That's probably one of the reasons why they are in the predicament that they are in... low self esteem. Very sad!
This show also scares that CRAP out of me!! Being pregnant and thinking about becoming a grandmother in 17 years does not sit well with me. Makes me want to start researching chastity belts now!!
