Indoor composters come in
I have an indoor vermiculture bin that I started a few months ago. Everything seems to be working, and (yay!) I've noticed no odor. The only drawback is that I have BILLIONS of tiny decomposer bugs. They aren't a huge issue because they spend most of the time in clusters on the lid, or down in the compost pile, but every time I take the lid off, they swarm ALL over the place and start crawling down my hands and arms and down the bin to the floor.
Has anyone else had this issue?? I think I'm supposed to have them, but how do you control them?
Re: Indoor composters come in
Nope, no fruit flies or maggots or flies, just these super-tiny crawly things. I guess taking it outside when I open it is the only solution... I was just hoping this was a typical problem with indoor composting.
