Communion Gift

I am getting ready to send a card to my good friends daughter for her communion. What is an appropriate amount of money to put in the card? Would $30 look cheap?

Thanks for your help,

Cheryl

Re: Communion Gift

  • I dont think so at all.  Or you could do a $50 bond.

  • If $30 is what you want to give, then give that, I don't think it appears cheap.  I gave $50 to the last one I went to, but that was for me going to a party.  If it's an actual godchild, I would give even more.

  • for the last communion i went to, i bought a $100 bond, which cost me $50.  however, like PP said, $30 is fine if that's what you want to give!

  • For a friend I think $30 is appropriate.  If it were family (that I was close to) then I would do $50.  We generally give $25-$50 depending on our relationship to that person.

  • I'm buying my nephew a $50 bond for his communion.  I think the amount you are giving is definitely appropriate.
