and the sun is shining! other than that, not much to celebrate, as i have to wake my asss up early tomorrow and drive to boston with my boss, catch a flight, and go work all weekend in canada land.
the only plus to this is that the best man from our wedding happens to be in toronto right now as well. we are getting together saturday and sunday nights when i am done with work.

Dog training last night went really well. Petey is getting so much better around other dogs.
I'm super excited because I'm heading out of town to see one of my best friend in Syracuse! We're going to get wasted, eat tons of junk food and party our butts off!
Andplusalso, the Bruins are going to sweep the Flyers tonight! I wore my Bruins t-shirt to work in honor of the occasion!

K and I had a nice evening yesterday. My mom is visiting since Wed night and offered to watch BabyQ so we could go get new phones and have dinner. I def had a bit of separation anxiety leaving him even for just a few hours. But, we successfully upgraded and are now smart-phone users. And I can't even connect to my own home internet. I'm a techno-idiot sometimes.
On top of that, I slept for 6 whole hours straight last night!! I feel like a new person this morning. On tap for today? Hopefully scrubbing down the kitchen and maybe housecleaning the bedroom or office. Steaks on the grill for dinner. Hope it stays nice and I can throw the windows open.
Happy Friday. This morning really isn't going well in terms of work. We had two interviews scheduled for this morning, 8:30 and 9 AM. Neither one has shown up yet. It makes me extra cranky since I know H is sitting at home sending out 100's of resumes and not even getting calls back and these damn people are blowing off interviews.
H's birthday is Sunday so I'm excited for this weekend. Tomorrow we're going to the movies, probably to see Tron. I have a recipe for a yellow cake and chocolate icing (his favorite) that I'm either going to make Saturday night or Sunday morning. I'm hoping he decides soon if he wants me to make him something for dinner or if we're going out.

After work, we went to home depot to get a new ceiling fan (and now wait on my daddy to visit to hook it up, ha) and we also decided to plant a garden so we bought some seeds/plants. Then we tilled up the spot and boy that's some work with only a hoe. We finally got it everything planted and watered and now (fingers crossed) it'll grow!
Other than that, we went out for some dinner (yummy steaks!) and then to Target to get some diapers and baby gift bag for a baby showr this weekend.
Probably going to ditch work a little early to head home and pack and head to the bbbbeeeeaaaaccccchhhhhh for the weekend (and said baby shower).
Do you get comp time when you work weekends or salary is salary, son?
My weekend is so packed, I don't even feel like starting it. At least I won't be working.
I am dressed TOO WARM for the weather today. I hate when I do that.
I buggered up my knee on my Flat Gracie mission yesterday. At least I got a good workout.
Last night I got gas in my car, dropped books off at the library, went to Target, and then to Lowe's to get keys made. After that I went to sister-in-law's new house.They made settlement yesterday afternoon. It's nice! I'm happy for them. I need to pick up a laundry sorter for her as a gift, and I'm looking for lamps at the flea market tomorrow, cheapos until she can get out and buy new ones. MFD was their realtor and paid for half of their warranty, plus got them champagne and a nice bottle of red.
Tired tired tired. I did not want to get up this morning.

Yes lets hope the Bruin's dont blow it like last year. I might actually be able to go to a game here in Tampa. Since sporting event never sell out in Tampa. Even playoffs, We went to the ALCS game 7 when it was Rays/Sox and we had extra tickets and could not give them away. So I am pretty sure we can score some cheap tickets.
Going to Seafood/Blues Festival tonight. I hate seafood so I will be eating a dough boy (elephant ear/funnel cake for non-new englanders). I'm excited not to freeze at it this year. They normally do the festval in Feb and it's by the water so even though we are in Florida we freeze our behinds off. As long as it doesn't rain, which it looks like it's about to do we should have great weather.

I'm super duper tired today. not sure why. Can't wait for the day to be over! After skimming over all the posts, I now what steak. and it's only 8:58 am. I have no shame though.
stephanie--my dad is fine, just bored at the hospital. and such a whiner. but if he is whining, it means he feels better. he already called me this morning and asked to come visit him today. uh, dad, i loveyou, but i have to work!
also, i am int he most fortunate of paid positions--i am HOURLY at a great rate, so all of my travel time is time and a half
im scared that due to all of my travel i am going to get asked to switch to salary come june (yearly review) and i just dont want to make the switch--this is perfect right now!

yay for Friday! Since I'm working at home today, Allie Earp & I went for our usualy 5 mile run/walk and after work I'm meeting up with my sis at the mall and we're in search of dresses for our mom's wedding (which is in 5 weeks). Hoping to catch some of the hockey game but we'll see. Since H is working this weekend, like most, I will finish painting our master bedroom, find another color for our bathroom, and am hoping to buy some perennials or annuals for our deck. So lots to do but it will be nice to get more stuff done around the house.

Finally Friday! Didn't get drunk last night as I wanted, but eh it's okay. I only had two margaritas and one beer.
Busy weekend ahead. Tomorrow we will be continuing our Cinco celebration with family, and this time I will get tipsy.
My first 5k is on Sunday...yikes. I don't feel like I'm prepared for it, but I'm going for it. We still don't know what we're doing for Mother's Day maybe just dinner.
Last night my mom and I had a Relay meeting. Then we went out for margaritas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
The weather is gorgeous again today after raining all day and night yesterday. DH and I both have to work, but tomorrow is our day off and we are celebrating is birthday a day early. Tomorrow I am baking him a German Chocolate cake and then we are hopefully making a trip to the town we got married in to have a nice dinner. Sunday we are going out for brunch and then working.

Got home from my conference yesterday to find H had reverted to his bachelorhood, where he uses clean dishes out of the dishwasher, and piles the dirty ones on the counter. Mush is not amused. We've got a flooring contractor coming today around lunch to measure and show us samples, and our house looks like a tornado hit. Luckily it's a slowish week for H and he's working from home today, so I asked him to at least pick up the dishes before the guy gets there. Of course he did the dish-dishes, but neglected to clean the pans he left on the stove. Grr. He's such a guy sometimes.
So yeah, I'm back at work and trying to dig out. I got way too much work on my desk while I was gone, so I'll be digging out for a while.
Headed to my sister's this weekend to watch her kids play baseball - they are on the same team this year - and celebrate mother's day. My morning sickness seems to have abated, and I was able to eat dinner last night, and actually feel relatively okay this morning.
Steph - It is June 10th. We were going to join my cousin's team in Southern Wisc. but the timing was bad so we started our own team. My aunt has been battling through cancer for over a year so we are doing 'Team Janet' to hopefully lift her spirits and show her how many people care.
Have any awesome fundraising ideas that we could do in a super small town?
