Kindle?

Who here has a Kindle?  Give me your opinion on it!

My siblings and I are thinking about going in and getting my mom one for Mother's Day.  The only problem is we really have no idea of anyone who has one to get their user experience/opinion.

Re: Kindle?

  • I LOVE my Kindle.  Love it.  It's super easy to use.  I also have the book cover with the light and I highly recommend it.  It makes it feel more like a book when you are reading.

  • I love my Kindle too!  It's super easy to order books and I love that I can get a book whenever I "need" one.  I also recommend a cover- it's so much easier than without one and definitely makes it more of a "real" book experience.  Everyone I know who has a Kindle loves it.
  • I recently got the Nook for my husband and we both really like it.  The color one is pretty much like a tablet computer you can down load Apps and surf the web.  I wasn?t sure I would like reading on one since I look the look and feel of books but I really like it.  The cover helps it feel like a  book, and it?s soo nice to just be able to download a book when you want it.

  • I have a Kindle and I really like it.  I have the one with 3G so you can connect to the internet from anywhere and surf but it's not the same as a little computer and is kind of difficult to navigate if you are surfing websites.  Books are really easy to download and I also recommend getting the book cover with light.  It has no glare and a super long battery life.  The only down side is you can't download library ebooks to a Kindle because of their accepted book format, you can download library ebooks to a Nook, but there has been talk of a Kindle upgrade to allow this function.  Other than that I really do love my Kindle, super great for traveling or taking to the park, etc.
