Ok, so when we do our front porch we're going to update our entry way. We want a new door with double side lights. But, we don't know if we want 3/4 length or full. If we do full. Opinions? I always pictured full sidelights, but now I'm not sure I want that much glass in the full door.
Then we still have to decide on the pattern of glass! So many decisions.
This is why I could never build a house from ground up...way too indecisive!
3/4

Our front door is the only entry into our house! (we have such a weird set up)

then #3. It is lovely, and I can see myself kicking through the glass on #2 carrying crap inside!
I've never had a door with that much glass... I think I'd feel a bit exposed! I think they are all nice but I'm totally stumped on which one I like better. I like the glass on either side though.
Magda - since we're building the front porch we're going to lose so much light so the goal is to maximize light. Right now we have an oval glass one.
The neat thing is that they rate them for privacy so although it lets a lot of light in you can't really see through, just shapes and colors.
Either way though, if you looked into our house from the door you're only looking at an entry way and pantry doors so it's not that exciting!

I agree!!
My parents have doors almost the same as #2 on their house and I want them!

Ditto this. I often kick the front door open when I'm carrying a bunch of things, especially groceries and I close the door enough so the cats can't open it but so it isn't latched.
