Big milestones tonight and tomorrow
Cue the heralding trumpet:, tonight is the first night away from the kids! Jim arranged a date night (this was part of my b-day surprise) that includes his parents taking both kids for the night. Willa's had nights away with my parents, but not Henry. Warren is too far away in case it wasn't working out for him, and Jim's parents haven't been ready for this step until now. I'm excited for them - and us!
And tomorrow is graduation for Jim. Yay!

Sounds like a great evening is in store for you guys! Have fun and pass along the congrats on graduation, milestones indeed!
Thanks guys... a little overdue, eh?
Jim just threw a wrench into my gift plans. I was about to buy him Meijer Garden concert tickets this afternoon, and he called to put something on that date. Gr. It was perfect!! Back to the drawing board, under a quick deadline. Accepting ideas.
He was really excited about the Los Lonely Boys and Los Lobos show. The other two he showed interest in were G Love (but that's Father's Day, and the kids should be with dad then), and Peter Frampton (and I love my husband, but nope, that's a no go for me, and he shouldn't go alone
).
Juli, I think an overnight out in the D is a great idea. And my parents have been looking for a time they could audition both kids for an overnight. Whoo hoo! Thanks!
I wouldn't let that keep you from buying the tickets. I'm guessing the concerts starts around 7ish. He would have all day to spend with the kids.
But I do like the idea of a night in the D. Or maybe better yet...Southfield. ha ha.
Grill out and the pool on Father's Day, in the evening. T Family tradition. Shrug.
I was thinking about calling you about your Southfield getaway.
I take that as in extended family.... gottcha ya!
