Yay for Friday!

I am so happy the weekend is here!  Plans?

Re: Yay for Friday!

  • Seriously, work has been so boring.

Lots of family plans this weekend, celebrating my sister's birthday and Mother's Day.  Laying low for tonight though.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • For real.  I'm hoping the rain holds off for a long time tomorrow so we can get some landscaping done.  Otherwise I need to shop for a dress for a wedding coming up next month and visit the fam on Sunday for Mother's Day.  And buy a card.
  • Me too! I have had a awfully long week.

This weekend we are celebrating my father's birthday on Saturday, and my first mother's day on Sunday! No plans, just spending the day with my family Smile

Might head up to Nashua tonight to go to Buy Buy Baby again.

Saturday- MS Walk in Natick with my patients & clinic staff

Sunday- Mothers Day with my family.

  • This has been the longest week ever.

Tonight and tomorrow we're going to be doing more work on the kitchen. Hopefully be finishing up most of it this weekend. Sunday we'll spend the day with MIL and then my grandmother. My mom has to work all day on Mother's Day and I'm a little bummed that I won't get to see her.

  • This week has been brutal. I'm SO glad it's Friday.

We're having my mom, my ILs, and my grandmother-in-law over for lunch on Mother's day, which means tomorrow we will be busting a** cleaning our apartment and running errands. I should really have done some cleaning during the week, but it's so NOT what I want to do after a long day at work. I'm making chicken parm, I think, so at least that's easy.  And I just hope they don't stay all day, because I have to work a gazillion hours next weekend, and I want to get my relax on.

  • TGIF!

Dinner and a movie in Harvard Sq tonight with my bff

Tomorrow is my nephew's First Communion then we're going to a Kentucky Derby party (fancy hats and mint juleps, holla!)

Sunday morning DH and I are running a 5k and then taking my mother out to lunch

  • This week has been brutal, and my allergies aren't helping!

    Laying low tonight.

Kinda bummed that it's supposed to rain all weekend, changes any plans of enjoying the outdoors.  Plan on going out to dinner tomorrow night.  DH did a big project at work, and the CEO told him to take me somewhere nice to eat, company's treat.....still trying to decide where to go.  I know I want steak, and a yummy dessert.

Rest of the weekend will be working around the house, trying to make some sense of all of our stuff....which is a good thing, I'm ready to be settled in and I never feel like doing it during the week.

Going to be giving my notice soon at work, so I definately need to work on my resume (which I hate doing).....fun! fun!

  • Nothing planned for tonight which I'm psyched about.

Tomorrow morning, DH and I are running a 5k in Providence - first race ever for both of us. Excited and nervous...the rain isn't going to help either. Then tomorrow night we're just going to a friends house to eat, drink and hang out.

Sunday is church and some low key stuff with MIL for Mother's Day.

  • I, too, am so happy it is Friday.

I went to a sample sale today.  The deals weren't that great, but the outfits were about 50% off. I got 1 for DS's first birthday and 1 for next summer. The moms of boys were all talking, chatting, sharing outfits, taking turns. Moms of girls are another breed- they were PSYCHO. Elbowing, shoving, pushing, climbing over one another. Several women around me walked out with thousands of dollars in kids clothing.

I then had breakfast with friends and went to Target to get sippy cups, bowls and spoons. I'm slowly climbing out of my denial that DS is nearing 6 months and will be ready for solids.

Tomorrow we are going to the beach if this weather clears up. It will only be 80, so it won't be too hot. I'm a little nervous about taking DS, but I think we'll be okay with all of the SPF 50-plus crap we have (tents, sun shade for stroller, clothing, etc). I'm hoping it will not be too crowded because people who are into animal exploitation will be watching Derby.

Sunday is mother's day. I have no idea what, if anything, we have planned.

  • Yay weekend!!!

Tonight was perfect. Sat in the garden for the first time this season with a glass of champagne, and some cheese, pate, soppreseto, and bread from the South End Formaggio (which is across the street from me... so dangerous!)

Then walked around Open Studios briefly and went to Vessles Gallery for her opening.

Dinner at Stella. Seared scallops over wild mushroom risotto with English peas and white truffle oil. It was fantastic!

    Now I'm sleepy.

Soooooooo excited for tomorrow! I'm going to ChocoLee for a chocolate making class!!!! (I'm a bit of a chocolate addict. But hey, the first step is admitting you have a problem, right?)

The rest of the weekend is pretty open. I need to do some cleaning, and hoping to work on my garden a bit.

    Have a fantastic weekend.

Happy Mother's Day to all who are, or will soon be Mothers!
