Hi Ladies. I wanted to extend an invitation to the Ceremony of Remembrance sponsored by HANDS and held on May 7th @ 10 am in the Joseph Tower at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. This ceremony offers families that have lost a child through miscarriage, still born, or infant loss a chance to honor their memory and provide a comfort, especially the day before Mother's Day. I, along with others, will be doing a reading. There is a slide show with the names of all Angel babies (some have pictures of children, some have stock photos of Anne Geddes style photography, sketches, etc) After the ceremony, a light lunch is served.
If you would like to attend please let me know either here, fb or pm. I can also put you in contact with the lovely ladies that run HANDS.
Life is a constant
cycling and recycling of events and moments. While I wish no mother
should have to feel the pain of a loss, this group certainly helps. My
losses were years ago in the boros and I was welcome at Vassar Brother
with open arms when I hit rock bottom a few years ago. Because of my
experiences I am in a position to help others. I remember how lost and
alone I felt, especially around the anniversaries and holidays. Even
if this is not something you want to do but just need someone to talk
to, cry with, eat ice cream, I am here.
xoxoxo
