BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This is horrible. I was so hoping she could hang on through tomorrow. What an awful, awful personal tragedy for the Obama family to be dealing with right now.
so sad.
I was so hoping she could hold on through tomorrow.
I am the 99%.
How horrible
I really was hoping that she would hang in there until after the election.
my read shelf:
If he wins- it will be extra sad that she didn't get to see it happen... at least from her Earthly point of view.
How heartbreaking. What a day to loose her.
Here's his statement (with his sister):
"It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer. She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances. She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left this world with the knowledge that her impact on all of us was meaningful and enduring. Our debt to her is beyond measure.
Our family wants to thank all of those who sent flowers, cards, well-wishes, and prayers during this difficult time. It brought our grandmother and us great comfort. Our grandmother was a private woman, and we will respect her wish for a small private ceremony to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to any worthy organization in search of a cure for cancer."
BUNNY!!! Knock on wood, woman!
OMFG.

How awful for him. I can't imagine what it must feel like--to have to go out there and campaign tonight, to smile and shake hands. He's still got events planned, doesn't he? So incredibly awful for him and his family.
And I'm not saying a word about those free republic comments. Every day I look at the comments section on newspaper sites and wonder WTF we have to give those idiots a voice. Most of the posters are downright jerks.
