I'm whiny today.
I hate that. I am home sick because my throat feels like sandpaper death. Swallowing my own saliva is uncomfortable, and I sound like a honking goose when I speak. Also - when I breathe in through my nose it feels like a blast of hot air on my sinuses which is incredibly uncomfortable. I can't help but want to lay in bed all day long, drooling (to avoid swallowing) and mouth breathing (to avoid sinus pain). Not an attractive sight.
I'm also feeling a bit emotionally sloppy today - and being home alone sick doesn't help this. Plus I feel like I've exhausted every interesting option and video on the internet.

Re: Venting
have you tried the swearing baby videos. I recommend the Sparkling Wiggles, Charlie bit my finger and I Got a Firetruck!!
Sorry you feel yucky! I was out of commission for a week about 3 weeks ago so I know how you feel!
Yuck, that really sucks. I started off with the same symptoms last Wednesday and I am still sick! Now it is a cough and stuffy nose. I hope you get better quick, nothing worse than a spring/summer cold.
I also like to swipe a little bit of peppermint oil just inside my nostrils. I know this is probably not the best thing to do but I don't give a f?ck, it feels good. Also, I realize this is crap advice since you probably don't have any peppermint oil lying around. So I apologize for wasting your time.
We're kind of going out.
Peppermint oil is serious business! I was at a holistic pet health seminar and the vet leading it passed around some peppermint oil. She had us rub it between our hands and then cup our hands around our noses and sniffffffffff. WHOAH. Weirdest sensation ever. It was like my head was suddenly all tingly and....empty. Like air was easily flowing in through my nose and mouth like it never had before. It was super trippy.
I always look at houses when I'm bored. But that's probably because I really wanna move... bad.
Or, of my favorite blogs, I go alllll the way back to the beginning (or at least a few months ago) of their blog and re-read it.
Find an old book and re-read it?
If all else fails... go the store and get a couple trashy gossip magazines, ice cream or sherbert and a new nail polish. Paint your nails, relax and just be lazy.

Anita - do you have an iPhone? I've become addicted to "hidden object" games. My favorite is Haunted Manor. You go through different levels solving puzzles and finding hidden objects. In Haunted Manor you go through different rooms in the...haunted manor and collect mirror shards. It sounds silly but it's a great way to kill time. :-) I ended up buying that one for $2.99 (you can play 2-3 levels free in most hidden object games.) I've probably downloaded about 15 similar games and only played the free levels.
Might be worth a look.
What?? It's $0.99? Man I got ripped off.

I don't play any of those either. I do NOT get the Angry Birds obsession at all!
Well if you're ever really REALLY bored then maybe give a hidden object game a try. :-)
thanks kiz. i love games like this!
No prob. :-) I also downloaded Puppet Show and that was fun too.
I am so addicted to the Gardens of Time game on FB which is essentially a hidden objects game, but you have to do a bunch of other crap to unlock more levels.
