So I don't know if this is the right board to post this on or not, but I think so. I have a job where I am kind of like a college Resident Director. This job currently gives me a free place to live which is wonderful, but I am in charge of 5 girls and their families. While I love my girls and they are great, the crap I take from the people is charge almost makes the job not worth it. I am supposed to let the director know about what goes on down there, (the director is supposed to do rides during the day and meetings with my girls once a week to talk to them about different things) and just be a support to these girls.
After I left my job there ( I was also working part time in the office and they laid me off) and even before that, the director started treating me like crap. She ignores me all the time, when I stop in to talk about the girls she's too busy, won't return any phone calls and talks about me like a middle schooler would do. I have tried to talk to them about it but nothing changes. It seems like they are trying to push me out and I wish I could leave but DH and I can't afford a down payment yet. I am so sick of being treated like crap... To make it worse, my girls have not had a meeting with them in over a month.... The director keeps blowing them off! If they don't like me, then take it out on me.. not these poor girls.
I don't know what to do any more. Anyone who can help would be great! Thanks! Oh! and I have a phone meeting with them today (can't meet this week in person due to the fact that I have a new full time job to replace the part time job and have meetings and have to work all day... they won't meet in the evenings...) I don't want to tell my husband much today either... its' his birthday so thank you to listening to my vent!

Here is something I live by: Happiness is worth working for!
i.e. quit and work at something that makes you happy!
I would just leave and rent somewhere.
Do your girls REALLY need a meeting with the director? I lived in the dorms at my school, and we had occasional "meetings" with our RA (usually more like snack time and vent time), but never with the director. They're big girls- they'll be ok without her.
