Re: F/U: Kidney Stooooones!
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I'm afraid of that. Especially once you get a stone, you're more likely to get them in the future (Hey, 8 years between isn't that bad). I get nervous that the next one won't be as kind to me.
Good to hear! I was wondering as well how you were doing. Does the thread title happen to reference a friends episode? When Joey was having 'sympathy pains' for Phoebe's labor and it turned out he had kidney stones and the doctor said it like 5 times because they kept asking questions... so he ended up saying it like "kidney stoooones!"
or I've seen Friends wayyy tooo much...
You are absolutely right, my friend! When I was in the hospital (right before they took out my IV to discharge me) I looked at Danny and said: "What else could it be? Kidney stoones!" I love that episode. And in my OP about it, stees even made the comment about that episode.
Thanks! Definitely not enjoyable. The pain is godawful. But once it reaches the bladder it just floats about until you pass it and you get this "gotta pee" all the time feeling. Today it was just like, "Oh, that doesn't feel right." And then I checked my strainer and whelp, there it was.
And what do you mean "Bless my heart?"
I wanna know if you have an accent because that's how my mind reads your posts!
I've heard the baby comment from EVERY woman I've ever talked to who has experienced both. This is my second stone, so by the time labor arrives, I should be the most prepared first time mamma in history.
And I believe you about it dropping your H to his knees. Did the same to me...I had to crawl up the steps holding my side to wake Danny up. It's a biitch.
"Bless your heart" is southern for "Oh honey! That sounds godawful. Glad it wasn't me!" or something "you fool." In your case, it's the former.
I admit to a slight accent. It's not anything crazy like on "The Beverly Hillbillies" or "Sweet Home Alabama." More Maci from Teen Mom accent. I think she sounds totally normal.
Oh, I know you weren't being mean! Up here "Bless your heart!" means the latter of what you said, so I was just picking on you.
And I like accents, BTW. I technically have a combo of a Pittsburgh/West Virginia accent and it is really prevalent in most words. I get called out for being a hick all the time. Example: what do you call a small running stream? I call it a crick....most would say I'm a hillbilly and it's pronounced creek. And I'm pretty good with a "y'all" as well.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Great choice of words! Now I actually do feel relieved when I relieve myself!
