Ugh. Do you ever feel like you are being prepared for something big? Like something hard is about to come your way? That's how I've felt the past month, but kept brushing it off. All that to say, I am very sorry to share that a dear friend of mine passed away earlier this week - while I was unplugged and offline and unavailable. Sigh. He was only 33, a newlywed. I've mentioned him here before. He had cancer and was one of the toughest fighters I think his doctors had ever seen. I flew out to visit him about 18 months ago to keep him company during some treatments, and his doctors were so hopeful. Gosh, so was he. He looked great, so healthy. It's really hard to believe "Iron Man" is no longer with us. :'( Pray for his sweet wife... they just married Oct. '10 and spirits were so high when they got engaged.
Re: Prayers
Scarlett, Raangoli, Tem - thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I am so, so sad about this, so I can only imagine the sorrow his wife feels. Also, he was an only child... his poor mother. I wish I could be there for the services today, but it's too far away and too last minute (he was not in hospice or anything - while he had a very aggressive form of cancer, his passing was still "unexpected" if that makes sense).
Tem - I am sorry for the loss of your friend too. So hard.
