Something Borrowed is in theaters!!!

I'm adding it to my list of things to do Monday - drop off the truck at the shop, pick up the rental car, go see Something Borrowed. Yea! Thank God for days off.

Now you know a third...I saw it with my sis on Saturday and thought it was really good!! We both re-read the book recently (well beginning of the year) and for the most part it was true to the book.

It was well done and I'm hoping that Kate Hudson signs on for Something Blue (the 2nd book, which funnily enough there was a brief scene in Central Park where they sat by someone reading it.  I loved that)

  • I was not impressed, and sad that we wasted money we could've used elsewhere, but I'm glad you ladies enjoyed it!

Eek, oh no! That stinks, sorry!

  • That's ok - we've seen a lot of good movies lately, so we were due for a flop. I may read the book again, though, just to make sure I'm not totally off my rocker.
  • That's too bad you were disappointed, Chelsie. I hope the rest of your day off was good, at least!

I was going to give it a shot because I enjoyed the book (and despite my intense loathing of Kate Hudson), but when I saw the bad reviews, I decided to skip it. Rotten Tomatoes currently has it at 15%, but it was as low as 9 or 10% over the weekend. And I try to avoid anything under 45-50%.

It has gotten a lot of bad reviews...but it also seems that a lot of the reviewers haven't read the book and were just disappointed that it didn't follow you're typical romantic-comedy plot.
