WWYD - the show

On the show "What Would You Do?" they're doing a segment on a guy that is eating fruits at the grocery store (and putting some of them back after taking a bite). Do you taste stuff at the grocery store? I firmly believe you have to wash your fruits and veggies, so I've never eaten stuff like that actually in the store. I just think that's weird.

  • Ew, no. Never ate produce at the store.

This.  Most produce sections gross me out prior to going home with my products and washing the heck out of them.

  • Count me as weird and gross- I always taste my grapes before buying them. I am way too picky about my grapes and absolutely won't eat them if they aren't perfect.

Other than that, no, not because it grosses me out, but because it feels too much like stealing, especially on products that are sold by weight.

  • No, it's theft. It's not like the store can still sell a bitten apple or pear. If I bite an apple, I'm bringing it to checkout and paying for it. I've never done it with something like that, but I've taken a drink or package of food, eaten all or some, and then brought the rest or wrapper to checkout to pay.
  • I don't taste anything at the grocery store, and I don't wash my fruits/veggies unless they're visibly dirty.
