I went to a you-pick strawberry farm this morning and picked 6 lbs of berries! Came home and made a strawberry pie and two loaves of strawberry bread. Any other bakers out there? What strawberry recipes do you like?

strawberry bread? Can you share the recipe?? Sounds good.
I usually make strawberry shortcake. My grandma would make strawberry jelly when she'd pick strawberries.
I have no good recipes to share, but now I want to go strawberry picking! Maybe next weekend. We're growing some strawberries and blueberries in our garden this year, but none of them are close to ripe yet. I know I've got the whole summer coming up ahead of us for our garden, but I'm getting impatient! (This is why H takes care of the garden. When it takes more than a week for the seeds to go from sprouts to fruit/veggies, I lose interest.)
I also would like the strawberry bread recipe if you're sharing!

Yay! I was just researching my options for berry picking! I was thinking of doing blackberries, which grow really well around here.
I like strawberries best uncooked, so I'd do a shortcake or use them to top a tart. You could also make chocolate covered strawberries.
I actually baked a pound cake last week and served it with fresh cut strawberries (from the grocery store), so this week I was looking for something a little different from pound cake/shortcake.
Here's the recipe I used for strawberry bread. I followed the advice of some of the reviewers and added more strawberries than the original recipe calls for.
