Teachers, please help with interview questions
I am new to this board but need some serious help. My school is closing at the end of this year. I have been there for 10 years so it is a bit of a shock and very traumatic. Well today I received a call for an interview next week. Now I am in panic mode. I need to start thinking of how to answer questions since it has been a decade since I have interviewed for anything. What are some of the common questions asked when interviewing for a teaching position. TIA

Re: Teachers, please help with interview questions
Tell me about your teaching philosophy.
Why do you want to work at X School? What about our school is attractive to you as a teacher?
How do you communicate with parents?
If I asked a student in your class, how would s/he describe your teaching style / classroom?
What is your approach to lesson planning?
How do you handle discipline in your classroom? What is your philosophy about classroom management?
How will you insure that you are meeting the state standards in your grade level?
What strengths will you bring to the faculty?
Tell me about a time where you helped out a coworker.
What are you looking for in your next position? Why do you think our school would be a good fit?
What has been your biggest challenge in your teaching career?
Thank you. I was in the process of thinking of my best examples for different things such as my strengths and good, solid examples.
