Wknd Reports!/Gpa Ed Update
How were they?
_____
We went home to visit with Gpa Ed/family and he is doing great. They did the cardioversion (essentially shocking his heart) and he responded really well. The pacemaker he got in the beginning of April hadn't been working properly until the surgery and now is doing it's job. We hung out w/my grandparents and aunts/uncles on Saturday night and it was so nice to be around everyone. My gma told me a million times how happy she was that Ben and I were able to come home, so I'm really glad we did.
Re: Wknd Reports!/Gpa Ed Update
Aww, that's great news! I was thinking about you this weekend and wondering how it was going.
That's wonderful news Hannah! Glad he is doing better and I know gma was grateful. Cherish those times with grandparents each and every time.
My weekend was busy, but fun. Friday night C and I had date night at home. I just made a little dinner and we ordered a movie. We watched "For Colored Girls". It was...intense. That's all I have to say about that.
Saturday, my sister graduated with honors with her AA. We went to her graduation and then we (me, C, sis, her bf, mom, dad, his gf) went out to dinner afterwards. We had a great time. I was all excited because my sis said she was going to come to church with my mom and I on Sunday for Mother's Day. Our church starts at 10:30 and we were home from dinner before 11pm on Sat night.
So, when I got a text Sunday morning around 9:30 from sis saying she basically didn't feel like coming, it stung. Am I surprised? No. But hurt nonetheless. 1) It's MOTHER'S DAY! 2) We all spent the entire day on Sat at your graduation and celebrating you. The least you could do is come to church for a few hours on Sunday with your mother. 3) It starts at 10:30, not 7:30. You knew the night before that was our plan. How about you go to bed at a decent hour so you can get up around 9ish to be out the door by 10ish? Is that too much to ask? Blah! I think I was more upset than my mom.
MIL called and loved her gift and the DVD of the wedding. I can't believe that tomorrow will be 7 months!!

Good news about your Grampa!
We had our housewarming party on Saturday, so we were busy Friday evening and Saturday morning preparing and making sure the house was as perfect as possible. It was a lot of fun and the weather cooperated nicely, so we were able to stay outside for most of the time.
Yesterday we took the dog to the Farmer's Market for the first time. She did pretty well, but we could tell she was a little bit overwhelmed with all the people. We also went to Home Depot and bought a lawn mower and a few other yard things.
Overall, a pretty productive weekend.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermGood news about Gpa Ed! yay!!
We got a lot done this weekend - I feel very accomplished. It was the perfect mix of crossing stuff off the to do list and relaxing.
Saturday we ran a bunch of errands and DH fixed a paint chip on his car while I experimented with spraying some of our dried wedding flowers with acrylic spray from Michaels. it worked really well. It made them much more sturdy. Now I just have to do my bouquet, which I saved for last because I wanted to test it on a BM bouquet first
I'm using some leftover candy buffet vases to display them in, I just need to pick up some type of filler for the vases so they fit better.
We also dropped my wedding rings off to get redipped and inspected. I miss them already
but DH and I bought a ring on our honeymoon that I can wear so my finger doesn't feel empty. a week seems like a long time to wait to get them back tho
I also finally got my name changed on my car title and registration, meaning the name changing is officially DONE. thank goodness. it only took 6+ months.
Yesterday we slept in and were super lazy (I haven't slept in for a few weeks now due to various plans, running, etc) until we met my grandma, mom, brother and dad at a restaurant for a mothers day lunch. It was super yummy and afterwords we went home a booked our first anniversary vaca to an all inclusive in mexico!!

Great news about your grandfather! So glad you were able to make it back home for your family!
Our weekend was good. Friday we grilled and then fell asleep on the couch before 9:30, I think!
Saturday, Chris woke up at 4:45 to leave to play in an out of town charity golf tournament (it raises money for a golf scholarship that was set up in the name of one of our good friends who had a heart attack and passed away two years ago).
I went to a breastfeeding class at the hospital (exciting!), bought some new bras since mine didn't fit anymore, and came home to take a nap. Then I met Chris at a Greek Easter celebration at a friend's house. They cook a lamb on a spit (I do not participate in that part!), and have all sorts of homemade yummy Greek food! It's something our friend's father always did, and after he passed away a few years ago, they have kept the traditions going.
Yesterday, we went to breakfast, and then to my parents' house to spend the afternoon/evening with my mom.

Thats great news Hannah!
My weekend went well. Friday night was laid back, Papa and I watched Catfish.
Saturday Dave got home from work around 4:30am, so he slept till 11 while I took care of the animals and cleaned the house. Once he was up we went to get gardening stuff for the front of the house. The rest of the day was spent gardening. We still have more to do, but the amount we got done was impressive (well to me anyway).
We left MA around 8:30 to head to my parents house. Sunday morning we spend with my family, having a big breakfast and just enjoying the beautiful day. Then we met up with Daves family for lunch. Which...was nice. But drama filled as usual.
Overall a good, busy weekend.
Happy to hear things went well with Grandpa Ed! Continued Prayers for his recovery.

This was another weekend that felt super long for us.
Friday; I came home wanting to nap on the couch but when I laid down, Mike joined me and we didn't nap
Then we headed out for dinner and decided on Chili's. We had a $28 bill, but I found a giftcard (from 2006) in my old wallet so I figured I'd try it anyway - and it had $25 on it! Score! Next we went to the movies to see Thor (really liked it!) and used coupons from our entertainment book and saved $4 on tix!
Saturday; We did yard work again, laid out again, then headed out to dinner with his family for Mother's Day. It was really good tapas (small plates) so we got to try a ton of different items. We went to the Phillies game - it was pretty chilly but they won so it was worth it.
Sunday; We went grocery shopping, cellphone shopping (we're tired of our crackberries but found out we aren't due to upgrade until 5/21, tease!) cleaned the house, made SO MUCH FOOD and had my family over for dinner on the deck. It was such a great night.
I'm loving the weekends lately with all the gorgeous weather and having them feel like they actually last long!
Glad to hear Gpa Ed is doing better,
We had a nice but too short weekend...Friday night he cleaned while I rested and tried to kick these allergies out. Then we went grocery shopping and went to bed early. Saturday we slept in in our master bedroom for the first time and then cooked and cleaned for having his family for Mother's day. We ran after flowers and then he got grandma and his parents and brother and sister in law came and we had a nice dinner and played games. Sunday I went to church and then my parents were here for Mother's day and we relaxed and watched a movie.
