best and worst parts of your weekend!
Re: manic monday
best - having a 3 day weekend, getting to hang out with my hubby, seeing my mom on mother's day
worst - my pups are at my sis' house. i really miss them!! (and my MIL is in town)
best - Mom was awake (kinda) yesterday and off the vent! She ate some applesauce and drank some water & juice so that's the right direction for getting the F outta ICU. I also brought the nurses cupcakes since its Nurses Week. I figured everyone loves a bit of sugar on a holiday. We had dinner (incl. my dad) at the ILs to celebrate Mom's Day. My MIL gave me a hurricane and a serving dish to match our FiestaWare, which I love. We also caught THOR and saw our friends Fri+Sat night. Anything for a good distraction right now.
worst - Mom doesn't know what planet she's on yet, so I couldn't give her the Mom's Day card/gifts. I wanted to save them for when she's in a reg room anyways, but I expected that to happen last week. Still in ICU today.
Call me Kat =^..^=
Kat: continuing T&P's for your mom!
Best: Girls night with my bff Friday night, and seeing Thor on Saturday. Hot stuff!
Worst: Being so tired on Sunday and barely making it through church and lunch before collapsing in a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Allergies do suck.
Best: dinner last night at Il Localino...yummy!
Worst: a lot of family events where people got on my case for not doing anything with my life work-wise (and then proceeded to ask me to do all these favors like house-sit, pet-sit, baby-sit, etc. for free in areas that aren't close by just b/c I don't work) and a lot of comments about how I need to be making babies since I'm not doing anything and have been married awhile. I.WAS.NOT.HAPPY
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
Best - Partying on Friday and Saturday nights with friends.
Worst - Recovering on Saturday and Sunday. I'm getting too old for this ish...
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
Best: Two good bike rides, taking photos at a bike race on Sunday
Worst: DH hurting his back working on the downstairs bathroom yesterday. He spent all evening on the couch.
Southeastern Cycling
My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
Best - Friday night at the symphony w/ DH, seeing friends on Saturday, drooling over the hotness that is Thor on Sunday.
Worst - not enough downtime and troubleshooting one of the TiVos, looking at spending money to get it fixed.
best: spending saturday at the cotton pickin' fair with my mom, and getting the base for our new shed built.
worst: building the freaking shed base...omg, apparently that section of our backyard is straight clay/dusty dirt. it took FOREVER to dig the holes to bury the cement blocks...ugh.
My Shopping Blog
Best: The look on my Mom's face when I showed up to her house in DC, unannounced for Mother's Day weekend
Worst: All that travelling, with me travelling more next week.
BEST: Club outing with the DH and friends in the city, to celebrate my friend's graduation from GSU with her MA. Also I helped out with the family barbecue on Saturday and consumed a lot of food.
WORST: We spent too much money this weekend, and went waaay over budget. My mother made her fair share of idiotic statements about my personal life and decisions at the barbecue *embarrassing*
...but what's new?? The Unorganized youngin's didn't know which club they wanted to go to, so of course I had to come to the rescue.
That's so messed up! I got a lot of "when are you going to be a mom" on Mother's Day.
~~~MARRIED BIO~~~
ditto, at my family reunion 2 weeks ago there was a lot of "don't you want your mom to have grandkids, she's SOOO great with kids, you don't want her to be too old to enjoy them!"
and yes...my mom is great with kids. but still.

I know people like to make these comments to young married people but it's not really their biz. And I'm like calm down, it's not like we are nearing menopause and our chance is about up. So, why all the pressure?! My mom keeps hinting but she isn't rude about it like other people. I think she just wants to be able to brag and show pics like all her friends and coworkers. But until then, she will just have to deal with cute grandcats.

Kat: T&Ps for your mom.
Best: Azlyn's 1st birthday party was a hit!
Worst: STILL being sick. Although, I finally started feeling normal yesterday, and am feeling even a little bit better today.
Best: Spending all weekend with Blue. He's such a funny little guy!
Worst: Not really having a mothers day because DH was working all weekend. =(
Best: the Komen 5K on Saturday morning and spending the afternoon at the pool yesterday
Worst: getting an email at 5:30 p.m. about three assignments due today and tomorrow
Best -spending Mother's Day with BF's mom and family. I love them!
Worst - AF came to town, so I was in a horrible mood on Friday, and was probably ***!ier to BF than what was strictly necessary, LOL. Also, I was extremely exhausted. I took a 3 hour nap on Sunday after 10 hours of sleep, and I'm still tired.
