Did Everyone Enjoy this Weekend?

It was a beautiful weekend! I was NOT out side nearly enough!

And on the DSM Daily Deal, they have plant place and I need some plants, so can anyone throw some plant ideas out for me?

Oh and Happy Mothers day to all you mommys , and those soon to be. And all the Aunties on this board! :)

Re: Did Everyone Enjoy this Weekend?

  • We had a super busy weekend (garage sale and Natalie's birthday party), but it was a lot of fun!  The weather was perfect and we felt extremely lucky to be able to spend time outside!

  • We did! :o)

Unfortunately, we also have our first injury of the season. Michael cut his foot pretty bad and now is put up on the sofa for the day. He doesn't want to walk on it or play so I hope a day of rest will help it get better so he is back to his old self soon!

For plants I like wave petunias, coleus, sweet potato vine, and zinnias- those are all annuals. For perennials I like ornamental grass, daylilies, salvia, coneflower and rudbeckia.

  • UGH! I had this whole response typed out then the nest ate my post! I'm running short on time right now so this is going to be quick.

Annuals in my yard this year: snapdragons, dahlias, zinnias, impatiens (shade lovers), dill, basil, mexican heather, twister grass, sweet potato vines, and celosia, and a variety of veggies

Perennials in our yard: hostas, ferns, columbines, bleeding hearts

Another fun one is coleus and they come in shade loving and sun loving varieites.
